I have crippling depression so I feel my life is pointless.

But then again, I thiiiink it is to restore our relationship with God that was lost when Adam and Eve sinned?

Is that correct?

Or is it to help people? Or to be happy?

Or is it all of those including to always be kind and compassionate, obeying God fully, etc.

I don't know. May you all here give me your view on the TRUE meaning of life?

To fear God & obey His commandments

Ecclesiastes 12:13
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

"Try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations". - Monty Python

I would say to love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself...

The question of questions, definitely one asked by all the major philosophers throughout the centuries.

Q. 1. What is the chief and highest end of man?

A. Man's chief and highest end is to glorify God,[1] and fully to enjoy him forever.[2] - Westminster Larger Catechism

To love God and your fellow men and women, pretty much sums it up the purpose of life I think. As for your depression, I fought situational depression at least 5 times in my life. Some of it lasted for years. The best remedy that I have ever found for depression is to get busy helping people less fortunate than myself.

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. The meaning of life is bound up in having faith in Christ. He is your life meaning.

To deal with your depression, you have three options: 1. Go to a counsellor. If that works then you know it is just changing the way you think about yourself. 2. Go to your doctor and get medical help with a anti-depressant. If that works then you know that it is an issue with the chemicals in your brain. 3. Go to your pastor and get deliverance prayer to break the demonic power of the depression. You could lay hands on yourself, but it is always to have two agree on it to give you that added support. There is a good book by Neil Anderson, "Finding Hope Again". It is a good study on depression, its causes, and remedies. You can get the book quite cheaply through Amazon.

I truly think our purpose on Earth is to reconnect with God. Live the life he led on Earth and be purified by his power so we can be reunited with Him again in Heaven.

The Bible is our Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth.

Isaiah 43:7 ,

You said, "I feel my life is pointless".

I believe God would disagree with you on that. For He numbered every hair on your head before you were born. He does have a plan for your life, it's up to you to figure out what that is. Psalms 139:13-16.
He wants and desires a personal relationship with you. Pray to Him, talk to Him, read His word as much as you can. The stronger our relationship is with Him, the more the Holy Spirit guides us to do our purpose, to Glorify Him.
