It sounds like Torben is aware that there is really nothing new under the sun.

What He is speaking on is the dualist belief system of an early Church heresy from around 144 A.D - Marcionism, where they believed in the Teachings of Christ and the Apostle Paul...but rejected the Hebrew Bible and the God of Israel (more specifically, His nature). They are 1 and the same, we just tend to tunnel vision on 1 facet of God's nature.

Don´t worship the New Testament God
The greatest idolatry we see in the churches today is the worship of the New Testament God. A God who is full of grace and love and not like the Old Testament God who is full of anger and judgment. No, our God today is not like that God.
But listen here. There is only one true God. If the God you worship is different to the God we read about in the Old Testament, you have made yourself an idol.
God is full of love in the New and in the Old Testament.
God is full of mercy in the New and in the Old Testament.
God is full of wrath in the New and in the Old Testament.
God is forever the same.

Let's put these in proper Biblical perspective. These Scriptures are written for the benefit of born-again Christians (like the rest of the Bible).

Love and Truth are not mutually exclusive principles fighting against each other. They are co-operative.

I would be very careful with how you interpret Pastor so-and-so's message...only religion legalizes sin (or implies such a message).

Church leaders still have to be held accountable.

One reason some can have debilitated bones and painful knees and joints is that they keep a lot of secrets inside of them. Confessing sin is ~25% of deliverance. Most of the remaining part is genuine repentance.

This is why a trustworthy community that upholds honoring others is important...

Yep, there will be a great wave of envy, offense, and jealousy to accompany the increasing amounts of God's glory in the days to come.
