Even though the Word emptied Himself to become man, the baby Jesus, the seed of the Father was in Him from the beginning of conception. Therefore, during His life even before He was baptized by the Spirit for ministry and miracles, He didn’t sin, though He was tempted by Satan, just as we are. And for us, God always makes a way of escape.

That same seed is in Christ’s followers who have been baptized with the Spirit. 1 John 3:says, 9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

This is also why we must have that seed in us. Romans 8:9 "But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His."

If you still willfully sin (and don't be spiritually ignorant and say all sin is willful. There are also unknown (to us) sins that are not sins unto death in 1 John 5. Willful sins are rebellious against God - and without repentance will produce death.), do as Jesus said, "Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works." So what are the first works? Acts 2:38, I believe are those in a nutshell.

Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of the living God of course did not sin. Ever. He was born to be our sinless and spotless Savior. He could not have died on the cross, shedding His spotless blood for us, if He had EVER sinned.

He did not need a Redeemer/Savior.

We do.

We still sin.

We also know WHO to go to for mercy, grace, and forgiveness of the sins we commit.

If you claim Jesus as only your Savior, and not your Lord, don't be deceived. You must be born again of the Spirit, because...

1 John 3:8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning.

Speaking of "saved", was the thief on the cross saved?

Why trample on the blood of Jesus and the Spirit of Grace?

26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people.” 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Was it a waste of time for Paul and John to give these warnings. Don't you know that we are dead to sin? So to continue in it once we have been given Christ's powerful Spirit to not sin, is willful rebellion.

Did Peter willfully sin?

Of course. Look at the story again.

Where does it say that the one being crucified had NOT become a Christian before being caught and convicted by man?

And where does it say that he had never been baptized (another presumption).

Jesus wasn't teaching on the cross, so where had the thief learned of the Kingdom of God. Did he think he and Jesus would get down off the cross and physically become King of the Jews?

Obviously, some haven't thought this through. There are too many questions left erroneously answered by unwritten presumptions.

The Bible speaks for itself, doesn't it?

The thief on the cross confessed Who Jesus was, and acknowledged his own sinful self, who deserved this death, because he was a sinner.

Then what did Jesus tell him?

Did Peter willfully sin?

When? When he denied Jesus? Don't you know that was prior to the resurrection of Jesus and prior to Jesus giving him the Holy Spirit. Without the Spirit, we are not really His for we are not born of the Spirit.

When? When he denied Jesus? Thank God he did, so he could utterly see himself as the weak man he was and unmask to himself the prideful, arrogant self-righteous clod his was.

Don't you know that was prior to the resurrection of Jesus and prior to Jesus giving him the Holy Spirit. Without the Spirit, we are not really His.

The thief on the cross wasn't really going to be where Jesus said he would be?

What does scripture say?

“No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him.” (1 John 3:6)

“No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God” (1 John 3:9)

“he one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning” (1 john 3:8)

“By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God” (1 john 3:10)

Already answered in 11, by another with the same common presumptuous belief.

Pardon?

Are you accusing anyone of being presumptuous?

In that kind of "judgement", is it a sin?
