Ahh, so fun that y'all are meeting up!! Enjoy eachother!Okay, so, in all seriousness, everyone here, may I ask for your prayers that everything will go well when I see Miss @YankeeGirl tonight. We are meeting on a purely friendly basis with no romantic intentions whatsoever, of course, and the atmosphere of the restaurant she suggested seems nice but still casual, so there's no ... shall we say, misleading atmosphere, no social pressure to make this meeting out to be something more than it really is. But still, I want to be on my best behavior and get along well with her.
*insert sitcom audience woooooooooooooooooo sound here*
Omm: I was thinking lately about how whenever I get engaged it'll be a little sad because my family and friends live so far away so I won't have people to try on dresses with, look through magazines with, make crafts with, etc.. I'm understanding more and more why it's desirable to get married younger. Don't get me wrong, I'll still be happy, but theres definitely a lonely bittersweet element.
Unfortunately no, we work for the same company and our job requires us to move every 1-2 years and we have no say where. Plus my family is air force (both dad and brother in law) so they're moving targets also. I guess the only shot would be if the place they move us in May happened to be by family, but it is unlikely. You think so? Is there not some way you and your soon-to-be fiance can keep on remaining emotionally close (if not close by physical location) to your family, Miss Peachie? Or am I misunderstanding the intent of your post? Maybe this was all just you being hypothetical?
On the other hand, if you do have someone close to you whom you may suspect will be bringing "the big question" to your doorstep soon, then at least that much is good. He will no doubt be one lucky guy if you say yes. With all due respect, from what I know of you, you are definitely a beautiful and outgoing (in the kind and sweet way) with a pretty big heart, Peachie.
Dude.....that is weird and creepy....Ever had one of those weeks that just feels super strange? Ran out of gas for the first time ever Monday morning. Broke down and had to be towed for the first time ever last night. I'm working from my house all week which is out of the norm, I missed a normal Tuesday night meeting to volunteer to run sound at my church for an event that had lost its sound person last-minute, I met with some friends I rarely get to visit with last night rather than my typical dinner meetup that a guy from church and I do each week, and I have to skip my normal Thursday night small group for a worship team meeting tonight. Then today the neighbor lady across the street comes over to tell me that a random guy she didn't know showed up at her house, followed her into her house without permission, and acted super creepy. Picked up her Bible, sat down at her kitchen table, and started reading out of the Psalms. He's showed up at her house twice in the past week. So I'm going to help be on the lookout for him. But all of these weird occurrences and changeups combined with feeling tired all week makes me feel like I'm living in the Twilight Zone
That is quite unique. Hopefully things normalize for you soon!Ever had one of those weeks that just feels super strange? Ran out of gas for the first time ever Monday morning. I am so sorry to hear that. When this day comes I pray that something works out so that at least some of your friends or family would be able to come in and do the pre-wedding fun stuff with you. I know this must be difficult. My friend who got married last summer had a similar problem but thankfully at the last second her Mom and sister were able to fly in and go wedding dress shopping with her. I hope and pray that the Lord would do the same for you.Omm: I was thinking lately about how whenever I get engaged it'll be a little sad because my family and friends live so far away so I won't have people to try on dresses with, look through magazines with, make crafts with, etc.. To which other forums do you refer?
When slight feelings of sadness arise, creativity is a good outlet.

It's fine, I'm feeling much better now. Drawing really does help me and I hope it will help you too!I'm sorry, I hope you feel better soon. I drew all the time as an outlet growing up too and I'm just getting back into it again. Still working on that WIP, maybe I'll post it somewhere.
Wow, that's so great y'all are getting to meet up. I'm jealous! I'll definitely pray it goes well and you two have a great time.
@SarahsKnight it's the headquarters for systema. Vladimir Vasiliev teaches there, systema master instructor. He is not allowed into the states because he's Russian ex-special forces so if you want to get a good glimpse of quality systema, now's your chance. It's in Toronto, not sure what area you are in though. he's this guy
