Hi. I just want to get everyone's opinion on this question.

How much of a role does God play in a Christians life? Does God interact with our daily mundane life or is he more in our bigger life decisions?

Here's where this question applies to my life. I have big important tests coming this week. They are test that apply to my career and my advancement in it. If I study hard is God with me as I write the test? Or is it something that doesn't apply to God so it's just a event in life. Say for example I fail my test is it just something you say well better luck next time? Or is it something you can ask God why this happened? If I fail I wouldn't be to upset, it's just a setback I don't want to deal with.

God is with you in every part of your life, and he should be at the center of your life, guiding all your thoughts, words and deeds.

God does care about your test that's coming up and it's definitely something you should pray about! He cares about the little things in our lives as well as the big things since he's with us in every step of the way.

God's role ...

The fact you have a date and time of your exam ... God is in the midst.

If time stopped and Christ the Lord returned would u still have a test/exam ...

Do you best and get good grades ...

Failure is with us as children and with us as adults.

It is always surrounded by the "What if I" and "I could have".

Failure is apart of our life, God is with us through our failures.

He teaches us through our failures. - (I've never seen someone who thinks they're god ask God to forgive his failure (sin).)

All we need to do is to Love Him first with our absolute best effort, and He will guide us through all our secondary failures and bring forth fruit.

Your career, and advancement within it, will become more clear as you reflect in hindsight with God.

And in the present, always pray and love Him by doing what He says, seek first His Kingdom and His Righteousness.

If God wants to bless your work for His reasons (in foreknowledge or in all-knowledge of what is Good for you as His child and His other children in your path) as your loving Father, He will.

Hello friend
When we are chosen as Christ's sheep the plan of God works in our lives, no matter how small or large of life's paths.
God looks at your whole life past present and future and knows that you are his sheep, so he allows to and fros according to your free will choices that you make, no matter how right or wrong and he dynamically draws you to him and his will on a larger scale, ensuring that you stay the course.
For example if I chose a career in finance and somewhere along the line this venture didn't work out, then what motivates me to continue soldiering on is my faith on the hope of things that I will recieve but not seen. This means that I begin to understand the bigger plan of God as I spiritually mature, maybe after having stumbled several times.
Having said that, if the timing and spiritual maturity of your free will choices are spot on with God's greater plan for you, then nothing and I mean nothing can stop God from achieving his will right and then through you.
The way faith works is by partisan, which means you are dynamically interacting with God in real time, as two parties would, in making decisions in agreement.
So the answer to your question is both yes and no. It depends on a yes yes from both parties given the who, where when and how priory principle of God's sovereign will as a loving Father. For example I wanted to drive at the early age of 16, so I got my licence. Then I wanted to have the money to buy a car. This request was according to what when where and how a yes no vote, meaning I said yes and my father said no. Now I knew at the age of 44 that had I had the money to buy a car, I would have killed myself, because the other party saw this and now at my age I understood it, so the result was a no.
This means that for you to have a path realised, there needs to be a yes yes. On the flip side you can also vito God by making the no decision when God made it yes when when where how and what is considered dynamically in time and space. However it didn't restrict God from providing you another opportunity to make it a yes or altering your reality so that you are hearded as a sheep into the pen/direction he has planned for you.

God bless

WHAT a great question! I know when I studied for one particularly difficult test in college I was concerned about passing and God would empower me supernaturally to excel after studying. He told me I have the mind of Christ. This wasn't because I was superhuman, it's because God directs our paths sifting through each and every step. How foolish of us (and trust me I've been there) to think that God would not want to be apart of every intricate detail of our lives, no matter how big or how small. Psalm 139:23 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. This very scripture asserts even more truth to my point. He wants to be in our moments at all times! Even the mundane.

Directly, God plays a role in all things, from the trivial to the great, by endowing us with all of our abilities (Exodus 4:11, Psalms 139:13-14, John 15:5). So you can be thankful whenever you succeed in doing anything, because it is the Lord that gave the capability of even the most feeble hands, each which work according to the purpose God gave them.

Providentially God plays a role in all things because He decided the very time and place in which you were born, with complete knowledge of everything you would do and say and think with the faculties He gave you (Psalms 139:1-4, Acts 17:25-28). Thus you can trust that God is more than sufficient in wisdom and knowledge to guide your life, and to bless all things you succeed in and redeem all things you fail in for your good (Romans 8:28).

That aside, we are still responsible as cooperators with God to fulfill our duties to Him and submit our wills to Him so that we can be disciplined under His Lordship to maximize our gifts, and to succeed in whatever He has endowed us the ability to discipline our skills to become sufficient for. When we fail after having diligently prayed and having sought God's will, the failure is only in the flesh and not to be a fretful occurrence. When we fail in something because we were insufficiently disciplining ourselves, then it is not a lack of God's calling or enabling, but our own foolishness. This is why the Proverbs say: "A person's own folly leads to their ruin, yet their heart rages against the LORD (Proverbs 19:3)."

The important point in this matter is to learn to distinguish between failure from an insufficiency of self-discipline and cooperation with God, and failure because God did not intend you to move in the direction you were or was using the experience to teach you something more valuable than the ostensible success would have. In the latter instance, allowing success would actual be to permit failure. That is not to say that God will never permit such instances of "success" to demonstrate to us the failure that emerges from diverging from His direction of your life.

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6)."

I won't act like I know how involved God is in someone else's life, but I feel God wants us to seek HIM and HIS will FIRST. What's God's will? Read the Bible and stay in prayer every day and listen. God can't steer us if the boat isn't moving. He gave us a brain to make choices on this earth. Not everything is dictated by God or in his ultimate will however.
I believe that often what Job we have or home we buy is really just up to us, but I'm sure there are those times when someone seeking God's will is directed to a specific area to do God's work.

God doesn't choose what color clothes we wear but we should be mindful if we are filled with PRIDE over our clothes, or wear something sexually overt.

I would be more considered with your own personal relationship with God, reading his word and always seeking and being open to his WILL.
You can rest assured that if you are seeking the Kingdom of God FIRST, his WILL will follow and you will see him work in all areas of your life.

The longer I live as a Born again Child of God, the more I became aware that God doesn't play a role in my life.... He includes me in His. And this is Eternal Life, as Jesus' says, " that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent." John 17:3

So does God play a role our lives? He gives all men "life and breath and everything else." So if you have not been Born of God, God is your life-giver. I have been on this Christian walk now for over 30 years now, and it is certainly something I do ponder over. However, I do believe that God is concerned about the small things equally as He is concerned about the big issues we face.
It is just that whe tend to only come to Him when we face the bigger issues which we don't know fully how to handle.
I like that verse in Psalm 37:4, "Take delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." The onus here is not on Him giving us the desires of our heart, but rather in us taking firstly delight in Him.

I don't know if you are asking more about how much God is in our lives in general or more about prayer, but I'm going to approach this more on the prayer side of it.

There is nothing wrong, per se with praying for yourself and that God may help you commit the concepts to memory and that you study and retain the material. That is where and how I might pray in this situation. But putting it on God and prayer that you 'pass the test' is handling it the wrong way because then it is you putting it all on God how the outcome of the test goes. When we all know there are probably many factors that will affect how you do on the test.

What God wants to do in your life and in your relationship with Him is so much bigger than any one event in your life. And when it comes down to God's big plan, we are just servants serving God and the results that we want to see happen, may be different from what God has planned.

Do not be afraid to pray for yourself and ask for God's help, but ask for variables or key things that will help you be successful, not to control the outcome of each thing in your life. Because that is very close to shirking your own responsibility and not being a good steward of the opportunities you have.

I hope that makes sense. First cup of coffee in the morning and all.

I agree with this too.

God loves when our hearts actually change and our desires actually change, because that the Holy Spirit can work with wonderfully each day.

God is shaping us in the image of His Son, it is a spiritual walk and progression not a physical one, per se.

I think most of the problems we all face is because of the desires of our heart. Sometimes we let fear rule, or pride, but Praise God that He is fairly patient and faithful to us.

When you are a believer and follower of God, God will direct you to how you're life is suppose to be and you will find favor, direction and finding favor is what seperates us from the non-christians. Favor meaning having an advantage, yes God can speak to us to our hearts, our thoughts and even in an audible still small voice. Whatever talents you have usually are things that you are good at and like to do, God will direct you that way, like in an career that you have you're mind set for and feel that is made for you.

A gardener who prays to be blessed with a bountiful harvest must be prepared to pick up a hoe after the rain falls.

Those who read, researched and reviewed long hours before their exams did better than those who prayed at the last minute for divine intervention.

I may need to ask God to manage me better and keep me busy if am to succeed.

I'm in the boat that GOD plays a role in all that we do whether GOD is testing out faith, (this would be in the form of problem or something bad happening) or GOD is blessing us. If you have GOD and the Holy Spirit in your heart then GOD will be in your daily life with your actions and thoughts. What it really comes down to (in my opinion) is how much of GOD and the Holy Spirit do you have in you. Also like others have said before me, give thanks to GOD for all that you have, good or bad. GOD has placed those things (good or bad) into your life for a reason, the trick is to find what those reason are and build form them. One thing that I do know is that GOD's plan is the best plan, especially if we don't understand it, we must accept it and learn because GOD is speaking to us (in my opinion) through the things that happen to use through our lives.

So to answer your question: YES I think that GOD will play a role in your test, in fact GOD has already played the role or done what needs to be done. It is us as humans (man) that don't see it till its over.

GOD Bless everyone!!!
Re: Gods role in our life

This issue reminds me of why so many Christians do not experience the power of God in their life and why they have a poor perspective on a whole variety of God-related issues.

We shouldn't have the goal of living to get God into our lives. Our goal should be trying to fit into God's life and what he is already doing. We are to cultivate a childlike (and humble servant-like) attitude and serve him.

It would be harmful programming for us if God were to answer prayers according to our will. One reason God answers the prayers of the spiritually mature more than others (e.g., James 5:14) is that through years of devotion, suffering, and crying out to the Lord they know in the depths of their souls who is the master and who is the child. They have become relatively immune to that potential harmful programming. One way to head in the right direction is to cultivate (and act on) a heart of deep thanksgiving toward God, recognizing that he is love, so everything He does in your life is for your own long-term good.

"yuppers" To pray and have your FATHER help you in ALL THINGS..yes. Yet for this.. to pray to have Him help you remember, retain to study and understand what you should and not miss it. So this tests.. you can pass or fail based on what you do or any of us.

Now if God called and wants you somewhere then.. hold on. Nothing of man can stop Him. We alone can by no surrendering and obeying. Not sure why I am saying this part.. anyway..
