Even if that means that the students feel pressured to participate in religious displays even if they run contrary to their own beliefs, out of fear of being excluded?

Not saying that is happening here, but it has happened in the past.
Understood.

But I consider that a young man should become able to see through such pressure and decide not to go along with it. This can be an education, to learn this; learning this can be a good investment so he will be able to do this in the future in other situations.

Football is not worth selling out for, nor is the fame or "fortune".

What do you think? :) I'm getting ready to preach too much.

The issue is if they unfairly treat those who do not believe and practice as they do.

Yes, that is the issue.

Again, we're talking about adults here who make a choice where to attend.

And adults who make the choice where to coach too.

What is the alternative? To say that nobody at a university who leads/coaches/teaches is allowed to demonstrate publically their views on religion because their students may feel pressured to agree and join in? Where is the learning and exposure to different ideas in that?

I have no issue with people expressing it. My issue begins when the culture develops into a de facto requirement to join in with it or share that belief to be permitted there.

Understood.

I wouldn't participate, but I don't share the perspective of importance of those that some have. I don't have "the love of the game" if you will.

If you are a Christian, your faith will play a role in whatsoever you do, whether you openly show you are a Christian or not :)

Please edit your post to make clear that I was quoting the title of the Alabama dot com article. As you have posted it, you make it look as if I were the one who wrote that.

My opinion is that there is a substantial and material difference between a university where people choose to attend and a high school where they are told they will attend.

Your opinion is noted then.

It's like nobody read the article but rather just want to declare that "it is illegal!" lol.... I can't even argue back against people who are holding a position that has nothing to do with this story.

I wouldn't be troubled by it, we know what is happening around the world and the persecution against Christianity in its different forms. Many are quick to attack, cover up on what is going on, try and change the facts to something else, or deny/twist things in their favour to what we see or hear is going on. What matters is that you know the truth, in your heart God has set us free and given us knowledge of the TRUTH that should be your main focus :)

Just keep on praying and keep the faith strong! Nothing can take us away from the LOVE OF GOD! I've seen it many times "ArmenianJohn" on these forums, it should not come to you as a surprise especially articles such as these we knew this day would happen, and it "IS" getting worse.

Blessings, Rich
