Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father...
Paul says that in everything he has learned to be content. Contentment in Christ comes first. If you are identifying yourself as a sick person trying to get well, then you will be frustrated. But if you identify yourself as a child of God, a co-heir with Christ, accepted in the beloved, victorious over the devil, this will bring contentment whether you are sick or well. What you are doing is coming to a place of peace with God that whether you remain sick or get well, you are surrendered to His will, plan and purpose for your life.
Only God can heal you. It seems with all your pleading for God to heal you, you are asking for something that He has already provided through the Atonement. Isaiah said, "by His stripes you are healed", Matthew, after observing Jesus healing the sick, quoted Isaiah, "By His stripes we are healed." But Peter changes the quote by saying, "By His stripes you were healed." By putting healing into the past tense he is acknowledging that through the Atonement, healing is more than by faith in a promise, nor is it a future event, but it is a settled fact. Healing has now been provided. We can claim what is ours through the Atonement.
Now having said that, we cannot put God on a timetable nor can we give Him a time limit to do what we want Him to do. He is not a vending machine.
It is always His will to heal. Jesus demonstrated that in that He healed all who came to Him. Of course, we are not going to be as effective as He was, because we are still growing in grace and our minds are still developing to be conformed to that of Christ.
The best you can do is to stop begging and pleading for something He has already provided and to just accept that you were healed through the Atonement, and with faith and patience await the actual results in your body.
So what if you never get healed. Does that make you less of a child of God? Does that defeat you, or are you still more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you?
Now, having said that, I will make a statement.
I cast that spirit of infirmity out of you so that your medical condition is reversed and you totally recover.
I can say that because it is my responsibility to have the faith to declare your healing, and I have enough faith for both of us!
AMEN... SO BE IT...
Then the older son became angry and wouldnt go into the house. So his father came out and began to plead with him. But he answered his father, Listen! All these years Ive worked like a slave for you. Ive never disobeyed a command of yours. Yet youve never given me so much as a young goat for a festival so I could celebrate with my friends. But this son of yours spent your money on prostitutes, and when he came back, you killed the fattened calf for him!
His father told him, My child, you are always with me, and everything I have is yours
