Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. - 1 Cor 3:16-17

Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. - Revelation 3:12

The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. - Isaiah 2:1-4

Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.

For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest,

seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law: Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount. But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.- Hebrew 8:1-6

But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new testament, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. - Hebrew 12:22-24

And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it.

For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, but we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever. - Micah 4:1-4

And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: And they sang as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God. - Revelation 14:1-5

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: For we walk by faith, not by sight: We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or evil. - 2 Corinthians 5:1-10

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

8And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. - 1 Peter 2:2-10

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. - Matthew 7:24-27

Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things? Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. - John 2:18-19

I am amazed at the number of my evangelical Brothers and Sisters who insist there must be a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. Sometimes I wonder if they have actually read the New Testament verses, which reveal that Christ and His Body are now the Temple.

Some are even helping to fund the effort.

There is no doubt that plans are underway for the construction.
Temple priests have already been selected and their garments are hanging in their closets.

One of the holdups in the past has been the Dome of the Rock, on what most people consider to be the original temple site.
However, recently some scholars are claiming the traditional site is not the correct location.
This may open up the possibility of using another site.

If they build it, who will come to occupy it?
The following verses from the book of Revelation may give us a hint.

Rev 2:9
I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but arethe synagogue of Satan.

Rev 3:9
Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

Rev 11:8
And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

certain forces are at play which makes it seem to some
that a new temple has to be built in Jerusalem.
But they forget that PAUL, who was enlightened, taught that WE ARE the Temple Of God
not a literal building

I think these evil forces are going to try to build one but one is certainly not needed.

The reason for them to try, is if there is a temple built there,
many Christians will believe everything else that goes along with that,
thus they will NEVER see the truth right in front of their eyes
that it is the end times now, and we are supposed to stop it,
not wait for Jesus to come from the sky and do it for us.

He was teaching us to become literally like Him, ascended while here
and stop all this evil....

our body is the Temple of God
and it is THERE that we Ascend and change into different beings
It is there that we go to Heaven and talk with God

That was Adam in the Garden
That was Jacob's Ladder
That was Moses on the Mt
That was Jesus
That was Paul going to the 3rd or Highest Heaven
That was John receiving revelation from God.

but folks think they have to believe what the church tells them,
and since the organized denoms are all in on it,
all are in on the big lie,
of course they want you waiting for Jesus to literally come and save you
so building a temple fits right into that plan.

why? because that version of Jesus will never come here literally
and thus they will remain in control of everything

that way, you will blindly accept what ever happens in the mean time
without standing up for your God Given Rights.

we are in the end times right now...it is the cusp of one age to the next...
leaving Pisces and going into Aquarius

God exists in all of us and this change will be felt
and this change will occur
and we will be the ones who uproot the evil,
not a fictional church version of a savior from above.

It's time to see it for what it is...
and believe in the real Jesus, not the church's fictional version

Ascension is not about leaving the planet...never has been...
and if that is what you see when you read about Jesus Ascending into heaven,
then you need to re-think your entire stand because you just don't get it at all.

YOU are Adam
YOU are Noah
YOU are Abraham
YOU are Issac
YOU are Jacob
YOU are Joseph
YOU are Jesus
YOU are Paul
YOU are the 144,000
YOU are the 2 Witnesses

God and Heaven are both within you,
so figure out how to get in touch with them
instead of waiting for them to get in touch with you

it just doesn't work that way

get it?

I'd lay out the passages as to a coming physical temple, but you know how that goes - it'll just result in a response from you - in just one more evidence that your mind is already made up...

BAB2's post is the result of his constant failure to "rightly divide."

These guys are more like "the temple of God" filled to the rafters with the idol that is "books about"

You're waiting on a pretty building to be built in Jerusalem that will never have the presence of God in it and then deny the Temple that God actually dwells in to maintain stupid, carnal notions of an earthly kingdom that never were and never will be in the plan of God.

And you talk to me about idols?
