Something bizarre is happening in the U.S. right now. Within the last 10 years really. Accelerating at a troubling pace.

The issue thats brought my thoughts to the fore is the issue of homosexual marriage. Now, let me preface this by saving, on a personal level I get along great with homosexuals. I wish them no ill will nor do I hate them. I have close family members who is a homosexual and a friend who actually invited me to his wedding last month.

When I was younger, the idea of homosexual marriage was unthinkable not to mention unheard of. The homosexual lobbies weren't even calling for it. The most that they wanted was benefits at jobs for partners.

There's always been an undercurrent of disapproval amongst most people I've come across of homosexual activity. In fact, the line you always heard was, "What they do behind closed doors is their own business."Of course, that line is useless as the flaunting of said activities is becoming more and more public.

Anyway, in the early 2000's it felt like things were starting to change. I suspect the change was generational. As immoral a generation as the baby boomers were, their offspring, my generation, is probably worse than them. Then came along the millennials and as they've come of age I've noticed the walls completely falling down in every respect! It's like they either completely gave up or were indifferent not only in this arena, but in all types of issues including legalization of drugs.

Anyway, all of this seems to have accelerated even more in the last 5 years. I'm struggling to make sense of any of this, as none of it makes any sense to me. Maybe the seeds planted at the beginning of the sexual revolution have come to fruition? Perhaps the darkness has become darker and the light will shine all the brighter?

Anyone get what I'm saying? I'm not even sure how to express all these depressed thoughts that I have concerning our sick society than how I just did. I'm just really frustrated and confused.

What has surprised me is how fast it has happened and is happening.
I watch the news, and every day continue to be amazed.

I get what you are saying.

I am a baby boomer. I was blessed to be born and to live in a time when things were good, and really pretty simple. And yet, it is sometimes the memory of those better days that increases the sadness I feel over the changes we see today.

My trust in God grows each day. It is the only way I can sometimes bear the things I am now seeing. To trust in the sovereignty of God. And in His love, for His people and the lost and dying in the world. And in His power and might.

God remains in control, even now. It is a time to have faith in God, that is what I firmly believe and where I find comfort and strength for the days in which we are living. Faith. Trust in God.

I think it might be what God would ask of us, too, when we cannot make sense of the world around us. Have faith. Trust in God.

God does have a plan for mankind, and God's plans will not be thwarted. But we may be surprised by how He brings them to pass, and how quickly.

Many still need to be saved. Many still need to know the Lord. That's where I know I need to focus my efforts at this time, in helping others to know the Lord and to grow in their faith in Him.

God bless.

Scripture says that the end days will be like in the days of Noah.

In the days of Noah the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually

Gen 6:5
And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. KJV

That is where we are heading.

The Lord removed Noah from the flood.

The Lord removes those who are born again (rom 10:9) when it is time.

A time referred to by many as the Rapture or catching away.

Blessed are they that hunger and thirst for righteousness for they will be filled.
Don't get depressed about it. The Lord said it will be like this and worse .pray for people to be saved .speak the gospel in love and look to the lord Jesus in expectation.
The very reason we see what your seeing is because we are not of this world and hence view its tragic state with a sense of perplexed angst.some fall into the error of desiring it all be corrected .but the lord has said it won't be.it wil be destroyed with out any one to help it.
So pray that as many as possible believe in the lord Jesus and be saved from the rightous Anger of God coming upon all those that reject his love shown us in Christ Jesus.. yeh?

What is happening in the world and even in the church is shocking and doesn't need to be chronicled here by me ... we all see it happening everyday.

In Canada they even have a law that basically says if you offend a homosexual, lesbian, transsexual, gay person on the air waves you will be fined up to $350,000. In America anyone who opposes serving them due to religious reasons can be sued and made to serve them or go out of business.

Just a matter of time before they and not only they (you know who they are, right?) (they are the ones in the know), but it will also include the they's that are not gay, but side with them in their freedom to disobey God's laws pertaining to marriage.

It's not going to get better from our perspective ... it's going to get worse and we have to get use to it.

Isn't that horrible ... we have to get use to it.

One it was written that this would happen ... all that leaves is that it is happening on our watch.

There is no in between God and Satan ... it's either God or it is Satan.

Let you yea be yea and your nay be nay ... anything other than this is satan.

In every nation things digress and descends from bad to worse.
Each generation says the same thing. "I would have never believed that things would become so evil." But they do. Each generation gets worse.
What will the next generation say? What could get worse?
inappropriate behavior with animals? Pedophilia?
People will not believe it now. But these things will become not only accepted but enforced as the rights of the people.

Romans 1:18-32 tells about how God gives a people over to a debased mind, and a main way that is expressed is through homosexuality and the approval by others of such practices.

You are seeing this because we are currently under judgement.

Do you really think that the people will get so low?
Pedophilia is in the eyes of the people (I know) even worse than murder.
People are even talking about catastrating pedophiles, if not even reinterduce death penality.
Similar to inappropriate behavior with animals, but it is IMO rather seen as a severe psychological illness and they are more likely to be locked into a psychiatry.

Yes, the attidude towards homosexuality has changed in society the last few decades.
And as long as they don't claim the same rights than a married couple (man and woman), they can live together from my perspective. I believe that it's not right in the eyes of God, but so isn't fornication or lying or stealing etc...

It's legalized for years in Holland. Christians now can't say they don't want to marry them or they'll lose their job, that's changed recently.
With the sexual revolution you got the Jesus movement and all those hippies saved, I believe what we will get now will be much better.
It went really fast, but so did the rest, inappropriate content on television and the computer, it's insane.

1968 Prophecy by 90 Year Old Woman in Norway
There will be a moral disintegration that old Norway has never experienced the likes of. People will live together like married without being married. (I do not believe the concept ‘co-habitor’? existed in 1968 - E. Minos.) Much uncleanness before marriage, and much infidelity in marriage will become the natural (the common), and it will be justified from every angle. It will even enter Christian circles and we pet it - even sin against nature. Just before Jesus return there will be TV- programs like we have never experienced. (TV had just arrived in Norway in 1968. E. Minos)

"TV will be filled with such horrible violence that it teaches people to murder and destroy each other, and it will be unsafe in our streets. People will copy what they see. There will not be only one ‘station’ on TV, it will be filled with ‘stations.’ (She did not know the word ‘channel’ which we use today. Therefore she called them stations. E. Minos.) TV will be just like the radio where we have many ‘stations,’ and it will be filled with violence. People will use it for entertainment. We will see terrible scenes of murder and destruction one of the other, and this will spread in society. Sex scenes will also be shown on the screen, the most intimate things that takes place in a marriage." (I protested and said, we have a paragraph that forbids this kind of thing. E. Minos.) There the old woman said: "It will happen, and you will see it. All we have had before will be broken down, and the most indecent things will pass before our eyes."

In ancient Greece and Rome it was normal and acceptable to have sex with young boys. Nobody thought anything of it. They even thought of it as an offering to the gods.
In Ancient pagan countries it was even worse. Children were sacrificed to their gods. In the cities of the plain, it was the legal right of every citizen to demand sex from any strangers entering the city. Even the children had forced sex on strangers. These actions were both legal and declared the rights of the people of the city by the judges.
It is just a matter of time.

-if they spoon.. affectionately or are intimate as a man and woman .. laying as a man lays with a woman..even if they do not commit outright sexual acts , they continue in sin.so no that form of co habitation is sinful.
Also it is denying the will of God to impose your own will .

Sounds harsh but if cohabitation is not wrong ask how many wives out there think it's fine if their husbands share a hotel bed with a female co worker ..but don't have sex.. I think you will find zero wifely tolerance of such misbehavior .
So it is a double standard to say it's ok in any other setting.
To me,when Christians accept warped worldly reasoning or promote that reasoning..then I know we are fully into the great falling away.

We are also instructed to abstain from every "appearance of evil"

another part of the problem comes with the increase of formerly conservative churches now trending towards liberalism, in an effort to attract new believers.

Christianity was never ment to be easy or accomodating. From the very beginning it was definitely radical in it's beliefs.

Being true to the teachings of Jesus in a world that didn't believe in Him was always going to cost the disciple something. But when the majority of society began to swing towards accepting Christianity as the 'norm', it took the 2 World Wars to shake up that belief.

And so, going back to the early 1900's, the changes started.. shake up society and how it functions, and you have the makings of an assault on the bedrock of Christianity. Men going off to war left many of the decisions in the hands of the women left at home. As a result more women entered the work force, started making decisions, and they liked it.

From there came the woman's right to vote, birth control, labor-saving devices, educational opportunities, abortions on demand, women in the military, women in the legal field, war protests, labor strikes, etc. The war of the sexes.

And when that started, the challenge could only go in one direction--to challenge everything that had once been thought to be right by society.

Today we are seeing the 'reward' of that challenge, as the pendulum of society has swung in the opposite direction. Today it is not Christianity but the opposite of Christianity that is considered to be the acceptable viewpoint. With that in mind, can active and open persecution of Christians in all 7 continents be far away?

What a great harvest field! It's when the people of God get up off their best intentions and get out into the harvest that the precious fruit of the Earth is reaped.

We can sit back and go "Wow, things are really bad out there!"
Or we can be the ones "out there" bringing light into a dark world.

Don't you think that society learns from it's mistakes?

How long did Rome last? Nothing last forever ...

X amount of the world is Christian
X amount of the world is Catholic
X amount of the world is Muslim
X amount of the world are other religions

Leaving X amount of the world that doesn't believe or care that there are punishments for their sins ... it's this part of the world we have to watch out for.

I've been talking to my wife about this very topic. I'll never understand why some feel the need to publicly declare their sexual preference. Unfortunately, homosexuality isn't the only downward fall of our society either. The bigger issue is self. It's all about me, what I want, what I need, what makes me feel good, etc. It starts with us too. Even when we choose a church, many choose the criteria for their choice as things like; how good the preacher is, how good the music is, what kind of programs they have, etc. All of which are self-serving.

my two cents....

Lol ..we never see the parade of men with banners declaring I'm an adulterer and proud of it.
The wives would bash them and no one would call them haters or bigots for doing so..
