I guess it depends on whether you were voting FOR Obama, or AGAINST Romney (I think mine was a little of both ^_^)

and you voted against at least 100 million people too. You also voted against their children.

That makes you a monster.

Politics is not a game. It is violence. Remember that!

Out of curiosity, what is the point of voting for someone who will not come anywhere near close to winning? Johnson got less than 1% of the popular vote. You voted for him, fine, your prerogative, but why? I hear things like people want to send a message to the two main parties, but do you think they're actually going to do anything to appease the 1.2M voters who voted for Johnson? Is voting for Johnson any better, in terms of practical effect, than not voting at all?
It's the difference between holding my nose and voting for the guy I know is going to happily send my countrymen to kill others, violate my freedoms, waste my tax dollars and lie to me about it and the guy who wont do those things.

It's the same point as voting democrat in a heavily red state.

You are only pretending there was a choice in 2008 and 2012. The choice provided to us by the Party was two different flavors of Bush. At least the democrats had the sense to life to you about. In 2012 there was no way to lie about it because we'd already seen it. McCain/Romney? Bush.

The only choice the Party has given you over the past 8 years in the presidential race was which type of Bush presidency do you want? Heavy? Or Lite?

Such hyperbole doesn't help you.

Both choices given by the Party in 2012 was going to come up with the same result.

Pretty much. But other than lobbying or armed revolution, there's not a lot of other options for average citizens.
At the risk of sounding like an elitest jerk...

The average citizen is more concerned with reality tv and other levels of stupidity. When it comes to politics they view it the same way they would a football game.

GOOOO TEAM!!!

If Ross Perot can't win with his billions, I doubt anyone can, as the 2 parties have a stranglehold on the system.

Sombody with Trump money that could win over the Koch brothers would, over time, have a shot at developing a third party.

I know this may come as a shock to some people but I've voted for Republicans before and might be persuaded to vote for a moderate Republican again, once the GOP gets over its current infestation with Tea Party. As it is, I can't be voting for anyone who will vote in a bloc with the Tea Party because I think the Tea Party is bad for the country.

You and I seem to have similar ideas. I've voted, Presidentially for Dems, Republicans and Third Party candidates. I would prefer a moderate Republican. Unfortunately, the GOP moderates (like Romney) cannot get the nod without kissing up to the far right.

Frankly, Obama is closer to being a GOP moderate than most GOP "candidates".

Title is incorrect.

79 percent of those who voted for President Obama would vote for him again and 71 percent of Obama voters now inclined to vote for somebody else “regret” their vote to reelect the president, according to a new poll.

Going to the poll, the numbers were 79% would still vote for Obama, 11% weren't sure, 10% would vote for somebody else. Of that 10%, 71% regret their vote. That means 7% of Obama voters regret their vote.

Just because Obama didn't live up to my expectations, doesn't mean I would go back in gtime and vote for Romney or some third party nimrod. BTW, I voted for McCain in 2008.

I agree with you 100%.

I voted for Obama in 2008 and the regret I have, is the man came with absolutely no leadership skills, or apparent desire to develop some.

I was on the fence in 2008, until McCain picked Palin and that was all she wrote.

It was a tough call for me for that reason, but am now glad about the outcome. It was a big loss for the GOP and SNL.

While I agree that the title is incorrect (and likely purposefully so), I have to disagree with the conclusion that 7% of Obama voters regret their vote. That would be the minimum percentage, but there could be voters in the 11% unsure or even the 79% still-vote-for-him that regret their vote.

I think the best way to look at it is to determine his current approval rating and compare that to what percentage of the vote he received.

If he got 50% of the vote and has a 40% approval rating, then 10% likely regret voting for him at the present time.

But approval rating generally doesn't specify how or even if the person voted last time. Some who voted for Romney may still approve of Obama currently.

I realize that and it is a flawed way of looking at it, but I highly doubt, there are many who didn't vote for Obama, that approve of him at this point.
