I'm surprised some threads are still floating around after all this time

Hey .

common sense is summed up by the golden rule to love others as you would like to be loved. Things don't make sense under the premise of common sense when people are not giving respect to another .. those self involved can be blinded by the politics of the discussion .. but those not entangled with either side of the argument or interaction .. see quite clearly the hypocrisy .. that is wrought when this basic idea of God's heart is not played out no matter how often it happens.

God said he'd write his law on our hearts in Jeremiah, i think this common sense idea .. is one that carries over and above all particulars .. the premise by which all "laws" hang .

From reading your posts I'd say that is evident.

'Common sense' is merely a weapon we use to belittle others and make ourselves seem 'more sensible' than 'those people'.

I have no use for that in Christ Jesus.

The argument remains because some will not accept the truth besides the goal is conversion and not discussion or education. It therefore appears that those defending the truth are in the same position as those trying to deceive for the purpose of conversion.

So what are the real choices? Concede to the lie for the sake of peace? That would only fuel the fire. What is the value of a soul?
