You should see my definition of "Trinity!" It's a real work of art!

If you have a better definition, let's hear it.

Usually when a paper is graded, the real answers are included. You just don't mark an answer "wrong," without giving the correct one.

Unless you're you, I guess.

Nope, normally it's just marked as wrong.
Now maybe for some special schools for "special " people they were also given the answer.

Usually when a paper is graded, the real answers are included. You just don't mark an answer "wrong," without giving the correct one.

There is this verse:

Exodus 34:1 And the Lord said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.

He goes on telling the story of Moses running up the mountain and worshiping. Then this:

Exodus 34:11 Observe thou that which I command thee this day: behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite. 12 Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:

Then the commandments start, TEN and only TEN of them (I will not paste the entire text, but will refer to every verse):

ONE – Exodus 34:13-17 (do not worship other gods)
TWO – Exodus 34:18 (keep the feast of the unleavened bread)
THREE – Exodus 34:19-20 (sacrifice every male first born animal)
FOUR – Exodus 34:21 (rest on the Sabbath)
FIVE – Exodus 34:22 (observe the feast of weeks)
SIX – Exodus 34:23 (send your sons to appear before God three times a year)
SEVEN – Exodus 34:24 (do not desire other man’s lands)
EIGHT – Exodus 34:25 (do not offer the blood of sacrifice with leaven)
NINE – Exodus 34:26 (offer the first fruits to God)
TEN – Exodus 34:26 (do not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk)

And then the passage concludes like this:

Exodus 34:27 And the Lord said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel. 28 And he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

How are those NOT the ten commandments?

How are those NOT the ten commandments?

Exodus 31:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.

You do know there are a total of 613 commandments, don't you?

Unless this creature has a lifespan of millennia then suffice it to say that one individual is not enough to sustain a population. We have found all manner of Pleistocence animal fossils and remains (Giant Sloth , sabre toothed cat, mammoth, woolly rhinoceros, etc.) We have not even found any Bigfoot faeces let alone actually having seen one. There is no way an animal that size can survive in a country so densely populated and go unnoticed. Local Myths do not reality nor fact make!

Bigfoot is nothing more than Bighoax!

I completely agree with you. However, the notion that N. America is so "densely populated" is simply not the case. There are portions of Sierra Nevadas, Alaska, Canada, and the Pacific Northwest, that have hundreds of square miles that are uninhabited, have no roads, and are virtually impassable, which would serve as prime habitats. Personally, I have spent an enormous amount of time in wilderness situations, and I have only seen a mountain lion once, and I have never seen a carcass. As for no feces, well, you might do a Google search and come to your own conclusions.

Stop being silly now! Are there any places unexplored in the US? Where do you thing suburbia goes for holidays or hiking, or camping; In Central park?

Yes, there are areas in the US that have very little to no exposure to human visitors. For instance, Yosemite N.P. in CA has over 13.2mil acres, yet only about five percent of the park is used by tourists. In N. CA, there are literally hundreds of square miles of wilderness that are uninhabited.

Could we take this to another thread, please?

Sure. I could swear there was a thread about this here, but I can't find it. Am I going crazy?

P.S.: AV, I am genuinely curious about why the "10 commandments" are what they are and not the 10 that I posted, so would like to have a discussion about this. What would be an appropriate area open to non-Christians to ask?

Your mistake is thinking Exodus 34 is restating the Ten Commandments; but qv Deuteronomy 5.

I thought we were discussing this in another thread? Maybe not then. So, why is it a mistake when God Himself says in Exodus 34: "write down these words". He then proceeds to list 10 rules. At the end of the list He says "these are the 10 commandments". How are these not the ten commandments?

And I agree with you here that there are more than 10 by the way. Deuteronomy 5 repeats some of this, but is inconsistent with the commandments. And by the way Christians obey (or try to) every commandment except the 4th (observe the Sabbath), and Catholics break both the 4th and the 2nd (do not make and worship images). Why is that?

:) Don't feel bad, I remember making the same mistake.

It's like huh? These are what everybody makes such a fuss over?

Only the first one is even remotely understandable to us without some serious Hebrew study ^_^

These are ten MORE commandments, in addition to the Ten Commandments that God rewrote for Moses.

God rewrote the first 10 commandments, and Moses wrote the ten additional ones in Exodus 34.

In all, there are 613 commandments.

Funny how observing the Sabbath is on both the "first" and the "second" ten, yet Christians don't follow it.

What's that have to do with what we're discussing?

Everything. The whole thing started because of the 9th (no lying). If the 2nd (observe the Sabbath) can be broken without consequence, the same can be said about the 9th.
