Hi,
I am a mom to three teenagers, and I have a wonderful husband. Our oldest (19 yrs. old) is in her second year of college. She seems to have forgotten a lot of her raising, and I am looking for help in how to deal with this....I am way out of my league here. Our middle child is in her senior year of homeschooling and we have a 14 year old son.
Thank you,
Jeanne

Hi Jeanne,

Welcome!

Altho mine are not quite that age yet, i do have 5, so i know what it feels like at times to be living on that edge? Maybe not for the same reasons, hey but an edge is still an edge? Right?

I see you posted in the parenting forum!
May i make a suggestion?

Maybe if you start your own thread you will get more of a response!

It will be a new one "" fresh"" and maybe people will come looking and having had the same " issue" u are having with ur daughter!

Prayers going up for you and your family!:prayer:

...and welcome!!! Believe me, that's an area where you're certainly not alone. It does seem that kid - virtually all kids - get to a stage where rebellion again the parent, the teaching, whatever, is kinda the norm. that's the time when the devil is actively trying to steal them is very strong. And it seems that everything you try to do or say in the natural just throws more fuel on the fire. But remember that, in Christ, you already have authority over the devil and all his power and authority, and you have Scriptural promises from God Himself concerning the welfare of your children. Case in point - Isaiah 54:13: "All your children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of your children." Take that promise; keep it in your mind; study it in a Concordance; and speak it over your kids in prayer, and in the face of the devil. Stand on your rights and privileges that you've been given in God's Word. And thank God actively for bringing what His Word says to pass - even when (especially when) it seems like it may not be working. Don't worry, it is working, and His Word will work (Isaiah 55:11). The salvation of your kids is promised to you, Mom...that's the thing to remember.

Here's a short entry I wrote a while ago on my blog - hopefully it'll help settle your mind: Better than Ragu! | Just the GOOD news!

If I can ever be of assistance, please don't hesitate to contact me:D And again, a warm welcome to the Forums:wave:
