A dream I had last night. Had a really off day. I don't understand the celebrity references. Here it is:
In the dream I received a gift from someone that resembled a former superior from my current workplace. They no longer work there in real life; anyways their gift to me was like a spa package. Not so much the service but an actual tangible item that if brought with me would unleash similar benefits to myself. I could even bring it with me in any body of water to receive anything like a water treatment (think hot bath jacuzzi or along those lines). And yet I was discouraged by this person from doing exactly that - bringing it to the water. Otherwise something would be unleashed that was related to something I struggled with. In this case it concerned repressed memories of a horrific nature. Certainly I didn't want to remember.
This gift was brought near the water anyway, near a large indoor pool where I was lounging around with a few other people. Random people. All was well until I thought I saw what looked like portions of a snake's body exposed on the surface of the waters. No one else saw anything at first besides me, until the creature geared into attack mode. Immediately, we all headed straight to the highest ground possible. In our case we only had the convenience of small ledges on the walls underneath the gated windows. These ledges were so narrow that one minor slip of the foot and we'd be in the water. But we were desperate. We helped each other up. One man that resembled a co-worker boosted me with his shoulders onto a ledge. I intertwined my hands into the gated fence of the window, which secured me without me having to hold on with my own strength. It was as if I was being held up by the arms by the gate itself.
The snake swiftly navigated the waters and turned its focus towards me. It wanted me. As it approached it used its long body to raise itself to my height, and it positioned itself , readied itself to attack me. I was somehow able to rip the wall apart with my right arm and use it as a shield to protect my body. The serpent swayed to and fro as if trying to find a spot to strike. Should it lunge and impale itself on this shield, I figured, I could use the extra time to get away while it uncaught itself.
Somehow I got away and managed to reach a small room by the pool , out of the water. Here I came to notice and realize the many cats in the area, sharing in our predicament of staying as far away from the enormous predator. I also noticed how there was seemingly no exit from this place.
I run into this room and shut the two sets of double doors wondering if it would be enough to keep the giant cobra out. No. The serpent gets busy tearing away at the door. I run leftward to a place in the walls that resembled sealed windows. Yet they opened for me. I timed myself and exited just as the snake forced its way into the room, strangely enough, accompanied by a single cat. As I escaped a song was playing in my head about miracles. Like a praise song. The singer brought pop artist Brandi to mind.
I returned to one of the ledges of the pool on the opposite end of where I originally started out at , only to find out that an accountability had been taken. One of us had been lost. A cat was eaten. Not just any cat. Justin Bieber's cat. I figured it must have been the one I seen accompanying the serpent earlier. Either way, the cobra's hunger was satisfied. The pursuit was over for now. He turned his attention from us for a time.
I'm intrigued by the cobra symbol. I woke up wondering why I had not called out to God for help. Yet He seemed present in a vague sense, looking back on it. Would appreciate some insight. Thanks.
