I was suprised at seeing the movie "signs" a week ago.  Not because it was slower moving than expected and because it was pretty odd as far as the aliens were projected.  It suprised me about the religious/existance-of-God overtones in the movie.

Now, today I found this out...

Wow, interesting article. Thanks for sharing it. I was surprised with the movie Signs. My husband bought that movie last week and we watched it (well ok he slept through most of it lol) I wasn't sure what I was going to think of it, but It brings a certain light into it towards the end, that made it well worth watching.

NP, I thought Christians would definitely find this interesting and I posted it in the wrong area, hehe oops. Anyways, a movie with Mel Gibson that is about Jesus and is filmed in Aramaic is a rather eye-opening idea.

"This is a movie about love, faith, hope and forgiveness," Gibson said. "He died for all mankind. He (Jesus) suffered for all of us. It's time to get back to that basic message. The world has gone nuts. We could all use a little more love, faith, hope and forgiveness."

I believe Mel Gibson is a good, faithful Christian man, and statements like this confirm that for me.

Jim Caviezel is playing Christ in the movie, and is another faithful Christian, Catholic man. Here's part of an interview I read with him, and felt I should share:

Edel: It's very unusual for moviestars to be so religious as you are. - How come you are so deep in your faith?

Jim: Well, I think that God can reach anybody. Our Lord can touch anybody and any profession. God's calling us all to come to Him more than ever.

Edel: Do you feel being alone among all these other actors who think so differently? How do you cope with that?

Jim: I always feel alone about that - because I am the only one I know. But if there is never any actor in my profession that follows his faith, it doesn't matter. I know what I am going to hold accountable for…. Yes, I'm going to feel alone. I'm willing to suffer that, I know that I was not called to the easy life - I was called to suffer as Jesus. [God is calling us] to carry the light of the world and He asks us to sacrifice, suffer and we can help carry the cross of Christ.

God Bless,

Neal
