It is commonly claimed by neocreationists that man and dinosaurs once lived together, and that evidence for this exists in the form of a petroglyph depicting a sauropod at the Kachina Bridge site at Natural Bridges National Monument in Utah. This idea was recently critically evaluated by a palaeontologist and archaeologist team here:

AiG was quick to reply in kind:

Feedback: Kachina Bridge Dinosaur Petroglyph - Answers in Genesis

I don't get the impression that AiG's author, Ishmael Abrahams, has seen the petroglyph for himself. :o

Dragons, as far as I'm aware, in most cultures are serpentine, rather than large reptiles. The Greek word itself Δράκος refers to a large serpent, rather than anything resembling a dinosaur. Even the medieval European dragon is more serpentine than dinosaur:

Dragon is something in additional to serpent. It is more than serpent.

I think every culture has both serpent and dragon. It is easy to understand why is there serpent in all cultures. Because it is real. But dragon is not real, why is it also everywhere?

I read a theory somewhere that some mythological creatures were ancient peoples explanation of dinsoaur fossils. They saw the bones and imagined a creature that looked like those remains.
I just recently read that too, specifically in respect to the griffin. I think the name Mallon cited is the same one I read as well.

Note how Christians argue against incorrect or fraudulent findings. The exposure of many of the above examples as frauds was aided by researchers from Loma Linda University, the Institute for Creation Research, and Answers in Genesis.

Can anyone verify this? It sounds like an outright lie. AiG has an old article up on the Ica Stones that they have never taken down (here), and the Ica Stones are not on their list of arguments not to use (here).

In any case, I'd be one happy evolutionist if dinosaurs existed today. Not only would it have zero impact on my acceptance of evolution, it would mean more types of meat to try!

I saw that on the History Channel...makes perfect sense to me.

ah yes quote "christians" like these at christian forums also refering to the organization asnwers in genesis making these claims. ok one look at answers in genesis says cult to me and I grew up christian. My point being though that once a christian ties an explanation to thier faith it is hard for them to give up giving rise to cult beliefs. Esspecially the more realistic it sounds in the right contex.

In other news my first post which I had to slightly alter because I do not have 40 posts in hear yet. Today was removed for review. A simple invite to a facebook group for support of those in a cult like Mars Hill in Seattle which I recently attended for three years. an action which only supports my claims of the christian cult ideas being so ingrained in people that they will do anything to protect those hurting others not the victums speaking out.

For Those who have attended Mars Hill in Seattle and found it to be a cult but who now suffer from the experience you and all from christian forums are welcome to join Mars Hill Seattle is a Cult Facebook group. A place to laugh and learn and share horrible truths in a funny outake.
