I used to do that when I was younger. Worry about some individuals and wondering if they'll go hell or not, and feeling severe anxiety. I just prayed for those people - no matter if they were dead or alive. It's a form of love to worry about someone. As time passed, it didn't bother me so much anymore. I think I realized that I did what I could. I can't know where people are going to go after they die, but at least I can keep the love for them.

We should be committed to preaching the word of the Lord to many people. When people are down and out, it is the best time to lift them up with our father. One of my friends got his track shoes stolen on his birthday and he was cursing and throwing a fit; I told him to come to my youth group this thursday (we play games and learn about the word of the lord) we are playing a scavenger hunt, so it will be extra fun for him. Praise God.

This is a tough subject, especially since I really, really love people a lot. Not to mention I don't think my father was saved when he died, so it's extra hard to think of him as in the fire. I think the worst thing you can do is try to rid yourself of the pain and sadness you feel inside. Instead, use it to fight that much harder for God's kingdom and bringing as many people to heaven with you as you can. You can't save anyone...that's Christ's job and He will lead you to the right people at the right time.

Just know that the bible says, in the end, He will wipe your tears away.

what has actually helped with this issue, is the fact that i forget i shouldn't be questioning or worrying things beyond myself, and rather be thankful for being created and furthermore-saved. Which are things we take for granted.

There is no one in hell (place of punishment) right now. No need to be even thinking about that. The bible supports the fact that when a man dies he returns to the earth and he does not immediately go in heaven or hell.

Psa 146:4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
Ecc 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
Ecc 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

When a person dies they remain in the grave until the resurrection.

Joh 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
Joh 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

1Co 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

It is at the second coming of our Lord that rewards will be given out. No one goes to a place of punishment right now. That is not a biblical teaching. Your heart should go out to those that you know that are alive and have not given their lives to God. These are the people that you can reach now. Remember Jesus' commission is for us too, to go into all the world and preach the gospel. Whatever you can do to help men and woman have a knowledge of God you should. As for people in hell burning now? It is simply not true.

There is nobody in hell yet, they sleep and wait till Jesus returns to Judge the Living and the dead. The only one in hell is satan right now. All others have to be Judged, for will only happen on that Last Day when Jesus returns to Judge the living and the dead both. We will not remember this world or anything we have done on it, nor will we remember our loved ones, because Jesus will not want us to be sad while in Heaven and asking Him to have mercy upon a Loved one. For each chooses their own path, thus the outcome is their own fate. While they sleep, we can Pray that Jesus will talk to them and see if they will accept Jesus, but whether He will or not is up to Him. There is nothing to say we cannot ask these things of Jesus, to perhaps help save another who has been lost. God Bless.

They can't accept Christ while they are in the grave.

I also struggle with the idea of people rejecting God and being sent to Hell. It troubles me very deeply. This thread has helped me though. All I can do is pray and be a good representative of our Christ.
i'm glad GOD has also helped you through this thread; so i recommend you reflect on the fact that you were created and saved, things we take for granted, if you ponder on these you won't worry...It is like that worry i had was the dark side of the coin, but now i'm seeing the light side of it, which is that i'm created and saved by JESUS.
