Mental or emotional balance; poise.

I could live without the sense of smell

A little about smell - without smell you would only be able to taste a few things, ie tell whether a food is sweet, sour, bitter, salty, that's about it. Just about everything else about the taste is actually smell.

Ever had a stuffed nose and then everything tastes just so much worse?

"Which sight could you love without?"

I wondered that also. :) I had to look at it several times.

If I had to choose to live without something it would be my sense of sight. When I was young I used to close my eyes and walk around all over my home and outside. I used to count my steps and all. :D I know, I was a strange child. Even without sight, I would still know how beautiful everyone and everything is.
