I could live without the sense of smell

I don't need my sense of smell. Just seems like the only one I could do without.

I'd rather have them all, but if I had to do without, I'd pick hearing. I can communicate through signs, which would be a plus, however, that wouldn't help with all of the other sounds that we take for granted in a days time...like the keys tapping while I am typing this...

Anyway, I would rather lose my sense of smell than anything else.

well i personally couldnt live with out my sight, and my hearing. and i cant imagine not being able to feel my husband touch, or the softness of my newborn ever again, so smell is the first to go!

A little about smell - without smell you would only be able to taste a few things, ie tell whether a food is sweet, sour, bitter, salty, that's about it. Just about everything else about the taste is actually smell.

Ever had a stuffed nose and then everything tastes just so much worse?

Couldn't do w/o any. But if I really had to choose, I would choose my sense of smell.

I wondered that also. I had to look at it several times.



If I had to choose to live without something it would be my sense of sight. When I was young I used to close my eyes and walk around all over my home and outside. I used to count my steps and all. I know, I was a strange child. Even without sight, I would still know how beautiful everyone and everything is.

I would probably choose taste since I'm such a picky eater!! Then I could eat anything... it would actually be an improvement!

I am a picky eater so I go with taste. It would keep me away from all those foods I eat that aren't good for me. Also, I could eat more veggies this way
