The issue goes deeper than just "she got fat" or "he got lazy." The problem is you're not the same person you were five years ago, and neither is your spouse. This usually means that the couple's interactions change. A couple might have agreed to not have children, but then 5 years later the woman's clock has turned on? The content husband now being nagged daily about how sweet babies are. While some may feel marriage makes him contractually obligated to accommodate, many others do not, and feel he has the right to seek another partner, one that still does not want children.
