memory eternal! yeah, I never met His Eminence, but I have heard nothing but good things about him. two of my friends met him on a road trip, and they said he had that look in his eye that really holy people get.

There is an interview with the Chancellor of the diocese on Ancient Faith Radio. He said +Bishop JOB had been sick all week. He begged him to go to the doctor since he had heaviness in his chest. Wednesday, he told the Chancellor he was feeling better. He was at the meeting with +Bishop JOB in Cleveland on Thursday. At the end of the day, he told the Chancellor that he was having the heaviness in his chest again. The Chancellor said that if the meeting ended late in the day, +Bishop JOB would drive to Maumee, OH and then stop for the night and stay in a hotel. The Chancellor tried to persuade him to go to the ER or urgent care facility in Maumee, but +Bishop JOB wanted to try and get to Chicago and then see a doctor. The Chancellor spoke with +Bishop JOB in the morning, and he told him that he'd had to sit up all night because of the heaviness in his chest. The Chancellor told him he would call back in two hours to make sure he was okay. By the time two hours was up, he had gotten the news about +Bishop JOB's passing. Evidently, His Grace collapsed in the parking lot and never made it to his car. I about wept listening to the interview.

It makes me wonder if he had the swine flu. One of my friends had it and had a lot of those same symptoms, but went to the ER. The doctor told her that they are seeing a lot of this with this flu, much more than they have seen with the regular flu.

By the way, the funeral arrangements are now up on the OCA website (The Orthodox Church in America). He is going to be buried in Black Lick, PA.

Wow. Thats so sad. (for me) I was friends with his Grace when he was the Bishop of New England. We used to sit up on his floor and talk all night, then I'd crash and drive back to Boston the next day. Just another reminder of how fleating this life is.

Job, please pray for me a sinner.

Archbishop Job had just visited our Parish at the end of November. He was sick even then.

Tonight our Parish held a memorial service, I've never seen such loved displayed through grief by our Parish... Vladika Job was our dearly beloved Father. I only met him twice, and never got to speak with him, though everyone I've met has spoken so highly of him.

We were hoping he would get the rest he so desired, now I believe he has received it. We invited him to come to our Parish as much as he wanted to when he was retired... Now though, I pray he will join us with all the Saints and Angels in our worship...

I pray that our Lord declares AXIOS when he stands before his throne!!

Memory Eternal Archbishop Job!
