There are no thorns or thistles in my Garden of Eden that I carry around inside of me. Perhaps there is in your Garden of Eden, only you can know that.

All of creation fell. If you have done any gardening at all, then you will know what a struggle it can be to keep plants healthy.

If you wish to belittle what God has created, that is your problem. I choose not to.

I do not have the problem with God things with thorns and thistles that you seem to. I personaly like blackberries and have some in my garden, not to mention cucumbers, melons, pumpkins, all of which have sharp pointy thorns on them.

If the earth and climat eis right and the right natural ressources here, no plant will have a hard time to keep alive. It all is a matter of that. Of course, palm tress won´t really grow in Northern Europe, but then they evolved on a place, where it seldim gets that cold if at all. Plant the right plants in the right earth and give them thhe natural ressources they need and you have no struggle in keeping them alive.

I'd say that since Adam and Eve were in direct contact with God..they were in direct contact with LIFE itself...They didn't ..." die "...prior to the fall...ONLY when Adam ate from the tree did they both begin to "die"..as we know it...God said they would...so they did...

But they being closer to the source of all life..lived longer because of it...and those who came afterwards also lived longer than we do today.....but for the most part they began to die sooner the further we got from those who were closer to the source of life.....Especially after the Flood of Noah....

Picture it like this..!

As long as a golf cart is "plugged into" the source of electricity...it never runs down.. once it becomes unplugged..It still will run for awhile at full power..BUT over time it begins to lose power until it finally "dies"....same thing happens to man who is now "spiritually"...seperated from God..!

When we were still closer to God after the fall ....we still had "more power" of life....( like a newly unplugged golf cart )...but now...we only have about 80..90 yrs...of "power"...!

Moses BTW when he came down from Mt Sinai...was "glowing"...He was close to the source of life for only 40 days ( at a time )...and he glowed from it...THAT is because he was "recharged" and then lived to be an old man.."full" of his strength till his last day..SEE Deut 34:7...IF you read the Hebrew it says ..Moses could still have sexual intercourse and [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]..at 120 yrs old..!

( The KJ translators cleaned it up and wrote "his natural force"..but that wasn't speaking of his muscles..LOL...it was speaking of his sexual ability at 120..)

Not to be Mr Technical here......but GEN 2:9.....2:17 says "tree of the knowledge of good and evil"...not sin and death...!

Sin and Death.... would describe the result of eating from the tree...!

God can add years to that. There are still people living up to almost 120. I could find at least 5 or 6 scriptures that talk about how God can add years to our life.

Proverbs 9:10-11
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
[11] For by me your days will be multiplied,
And years of life will be added to you.

This is correct....The question is...? Did he live 130 yrs...counting from the time he FELL...or from the time he was created by God from the dust of the earth..Because prior to his fall..He didn't age..or die..or get old..!

JR says..

We know that Adam was out of the garden by the time he was 130 years old. Most likely he spent his first 100 years in the garden.

Eph writes...

Clearly speculation on your part...Why not guess at 50 yrs..or 37 yrs..? JR...""most likely"" he could have lived in the garden 50 billion yrs...IF we want to guess at it...

Scripturally "all the days" of Adam...were ...930 yrs...Gen 5:5 says He lived 930 yrs...My only point is How long did he live before the fall...He began to age and die the moment he ate from the tree...against the warning God gave him about doing it...NOT before...!

In either case....I can't wait to meet him..! :)

The 120 yrs....mentioned in GEN 6:3...was the amount of time God was going to give to Noah to build the ark...Notice it says "yet" his days shall be...God was giving mankind 120 yrs to repent..and when Noah was done building the ark...time was UP...!

I do not think the Adam in the garden was here on the 6 th day of creation. I believe God created him on the 8 th day. The man that God created on the 6 th day was a hunter, or a food gather.
