Philippians 2:13

That verse says it is God who manages the life of those who turn to Him. It is His will and work and not man’s supposed “free will” doing it.

John 15:5. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Isaiah 26:12. Lord, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.

Further more:

Ode of Solomon 7: 10 He who created wisdom is wiser than His works: 11 And He who created me when yet I was not knew what I should do when I came into being:

Psalm 90: 9. For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.
Psalm of Solomon V: 6 (4) For man and his portion (lie) before Thee in the balance; He cannot add to, so as to enlarge, what has been prescribed by Thee. O God,

Secrets of Enoch 49: 2 And I swear to you, yea, yea, that there has been no man in his mother's womb, but that already before, even to each one there is a place prepared for the repose of that soul, and a measure fixed how much it is intended that a man be tried in this world.

Romans 9:15. For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 16. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. 17. For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. 18. Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.

2 Timothy 2: 20. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

The LIFE-ROLE of each person who enters this world is PRE-WRITTEN by the Potter-Playwright, God.

Secrets of Enoch 23:3 And Pravuil told me: 'All the things 4 that I have told thee, we have written. Sit and write all the souls of mankind, however many of them are born, and the places prepared for them 5 to eternity; for all souls are prepared to eternity, before the formation of the world.'

Secrets of Enoch 53: 2 You see how I wrote all works of every man, before his creation, all that is done amongst all 3 men for all time, and none can tell or relate my handwriting, because the Lord sees all the imaginings of man, how they are vain, where they lie in the treasure-houses of the heart.
Romans 18:18. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. 20. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, 21. Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

Isaiah 45:5. I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: 6. That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is none else. 7. I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.

Amos 3:4. Will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing? 5. Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him? shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all? 6. Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it? 7. Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. 8. The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord God hath spoken, who can but prophesy?

One for the road

Deuteronomy 32:39. See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. 40. For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.

This accentuates the following about Father's absolute control (Omnipotence):

Daniel 4:17. This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men. 34. And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation: 35. And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?

Some people just can't see how God can have such absolute control over each human life. He controls the atoms and electrons, and protons that form matter. He has them doing their thing to form different elements to form, a tree, a bird, or a flower. That is the "tough" part(?) ... making different things with matter. What about the stars, and galaxies spiraling in space? Managing human life to the most minute experience is EASY for Him to do!!

I’m not done yet

Matthew 10: 29. Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. 30. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Psalm 139:16. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, (blue-print if you will) which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

Let’s talk about PLANNING a family (planned parenthood)! Consider the detail planned for each offspring. Your hairs are numbered and your members are written in His Book! Since we are His BODY CELLS …. It is the Book of Life, eternal life, our heritage of “His likeness”!

Romans 8:29. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 31. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Is there any human being born in this world in any generation that God did not foreknow and PLAN his life?

What about abortion?

You do realize whose will is done on earth as it is in Heaven, don't you? What do you really know about death? Eternal beings only "seem" to die. The flesh body dies but God's spirit offspring do not. They RISE!

Hosea 13:14. I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.

John 5:25. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. 26. For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; 27. And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. 28. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

Revelation 9:6. And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

Death of the body amounts to "circumcision" before we enter the Promise Land of Heaven.

1 Corinthians 15:48. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. 49. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. 50. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

Who is allowing abortions and why is He doing it? Think carefully about this!

Matthew 19:14. But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

Babies (the fetuses) do not and cannot die either. They are REDEEMED by their Father.

Ecclesiastes 12:7. Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Ecclesiastes 4:2. Wherefore I praised the dead which are already dead more than the living which are yet alive. 3. Yea, better is he than both they, which hath not yet been, who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.

Summation

In conclusion of the matter "God is ALL. and in us all, and doing all our works in us". we cannot claim credit for any good works "we did" supposedly for the sake of boasting or to down-grade and belittle others who have no such "works". Even "faith" is a gift given to those who have it. Faithful men (vessels for clean use) must not despise those who lack it knowing that the Clay Master has given each offspring an earthly role at His discretion. We are to love one another under all conditions while we await our own personal summons to join the Wedding Supper (Family Reunion Feast) going on upstairs. Jesus sums up our discussion beautifully about what happens to aborted fetuses, children and centenarians who are REAPED to the RIGHT Barn of Heaven:

Luke 20:5. But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: 36. Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection. 37. Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. 38. For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him. 39. Then certain of the scribes answering said, Master, thou hast well said.

Can you say, "Amen" to the Father and the Son?! I can! AMEN!!

When you say things like "God controls the atoms" do you mean God is the source of their being and dynamis, or that God influences their physical motion and such in some mysterious, undetectable way?

Atoms tend to follow the laws of gravity, motion, electro-magnetism and such. Galaxies are not particularly complex structures, although massive, in comparison to living organisms, let alone the human brain.

I am not trying to dismiss God, but neither can I dismiss all the discoveries of science. I always thought free will to be essential to Man as the living image of God. That we give it back freely as a gift of praise and worship to our Lord is part of the Christian life, IMHO.

If I am to be “holy” I must therefore be something that I do not understand, something mysterious and hidden, something apparently self-contradictory; for God, in Christ, “emptied Himself.” . . . And, indeed, He was abandoned and forsaken even by Himself. It was as if the Father had denied the Son, as if the Divine Power and mercy had utterly failed.

In dying on the Cross, Christ manifested the holiness of God in apparent contradiction with itself. But in reality this manifestation was the complete denial and rejection of all human ideas of holiness and perfection. The wisdom of God became folly to men, His power manifested itself as weakness, and His holiness was, in their eyes, unholy. But Scripture says that “what is great in the eyes of men is an abomination in the sight of God,” and, again, “my thoughts are not your thoughts,” says God to men.

If, then, we want to seek some way of being holy, we must first renounce our own way and our own wisdom. We must “empty ourselves” as He did. We must “deny ourselves” and in some sense make ourselves “nothing” in order that we may live not so much in ourselves as in Him. We must live by a power and a light that seem not to be there. We must live by the strength of an apparent emptiness that is always truly empty yet never fails to support us at every moment.

This is holiness.
