Okay, so, i'm not actually in this situation at all, but i'm curious to see what the proper course of action would be, if it ever came up. :p

Say your SO is in an argument with somebody, they turn to you for support, but you actually think your SO is in the wrong.

What do you do? The only thing I can think of is try to avoid getting involved. ^_^

If this ever comes up for you, I suggest informing your SO exactly what you are thinking. Make sure to honestly explain and communicate your beliefs on the argumental situation. Your thoughts and advice may help your SO by providing a different view on the predicament.

I don't always agree with my husband's point of view when he's in conflict with someone else. That doesn't mean it then becomes a conflict between him and me. I can give him my opinion, and that often provides a second point of view for him to consider. Usually we just come to an "agree to disagree" arrangement. We certainly never argue over it - I'd hate to think that his issue with someone else could ever bring itself up as an issue between us.
