Psalm 139vs13,14 spoke to me in a surprising way today - I will quote it then share the thought.
"For you formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother's womb.
14.
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvellous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well."

(I underlined "that" to bring to your attention that my NKJV has it italicised, in my version at least.)
The reason this spoke to me is that I am fairly heavily into apologetics in another website.
This is what got me today in a way I hadn't noticed before - "And that my soul knows very well"; I believe we all have this experience of knowing that we indeed were created! The atheist tries to drown out this knowledge with the ToE and (Godless) man's philosophies. There it is, quite simply stated right there in His inimitable word.
Some might be inclined to say that it is only a religious man that "knows" this, yet Romans 1v18 would add weight to this thought in Psalm139.
"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness..."
Contextually, this truth might be about the gospel (v16), it must also apply to any truth that man chooses to "suppress" within his own heart.
Further truth/knowledge is outlined for us in verse20, where it is the created order that speaks of God.
I humbly submit that this idea for a thread is worth keeping going as we all read our Bibles everyday and have this outlet here to share what God has given you.
May you be blessed as you do.

Thanks for sharing about suppressing the truth in unrighteousness. In order to suppress something, we must have a consciousness about it, and then choose to disregard and suppress it. I had been meditating this morning about desires of the heart right before I checked out this thread, and the Word that "my soul knows well" fit right in. You make a good point that the right stuff is placed in our soul, and in our hearts I believe, then we have to make the choice about what to do with it.

Choose life. The option is set before us, even in us, it is not hidden. May we examine the desires of our heart, our deepfelt soul wishes, so we can keep the truth He has given us pure. When we see unGodly stuff around us, may we turn to our inward parts to reflect (yes, reflect in such a way that the light shines outward), and cleanse our hearts. He has given us the stuff, all the stuff we need, from before the beginning, so let's take care to know Him. May we seek His presence, trusting that His grace and provision is more than sufficient for not only our existence but our perfection; then may we let Him alone perfect us. May we run to seek His presence in our inward parts, and stop chasing only His blessings. When we chase the blessings, we are easily deceived; when we chase Him, it's a race we cannot lose.

Psalms 51:10-13 (KJV) 10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. 11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. 12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. 13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

Keep my heart clean, O LORD. Circumcise it daily, I pray, not only my heart but the hearts of my children and my children's children, so we can love You more, and live! I praise You and thank You, LORD, for Your all-knowing, ever-present design for my life. Help me to walk in Your way and Your truth, for my soul already knows You.

Deuteronomy 30:6 (KJV) And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

I certainly cannot add anything to the beautiful bunch of scriptures quoted above by the two of you, but I can say it reminds me that, since we are "fearfully and wonderfully made", we are wired by God, and in that wiring He put an inherent knowledge of Him. Our sin supresses the truth, but even when we become consciously aware of the truth, we often try to supress it. Even self-proclaimed atheists have this wiring, they just choose to ignore it. Praise God that the Lord has ultimate control of that wiring and can override any deliberate intent to keep His truth hidden.

Thanks again for your kind words and pertinent points.
More "hard wiring" is revealed in Ecc.3v11:-
"He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in theirs hearts..."
This is the "God-shaped void" we hear about from time to time, and He has placed it in our hearts that our conscience might remember and yearn after things eternal, including Him.
Blessings.

Here's one that spoke to me this morning and I thought I would share it with y'all:-

"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD shines upon you." Is.60v1.

This verse was written to the Israelites, but we christians can also claim it because Christ is the light, and the light of men.
We can easily miss a deeper blessing in this verse even when we sing it, and that is that we can rise above the depression and prostration of circumstances because we have the glory of the risen Lord Himself in our hearts! It is easy to forget this as the drudge of daily living and even serious illness can overwhelm, so I thought this might make a timely encouraging reminder.

Revelation 5 vs.12
In a loud voice they sang:
"Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength
and honor and glory and praise!"

I can't explain - when reading this verse a while ago I felt so humble and so in awe of Jesus. So overwhelming, it brings tears to my eyes.

These are great verses, reviving our souls from deep within. My ears rang the verse "Be still and know that I am God" as I was quiet today, in a still moment of time. Wow... sometimes this solitude speaks a lot!

Thank you for sharing your scripture inspiration!
Thanks for the encouragement sister. I am glad He blessed you.
I love the word of our God and am a sharer. One of these verses is very well known but how many of us know the verse preceding it?:-
"Trust in the Lord and do good;
Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.
Delight yourself in the Lord;
And He will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm37v3,4
Verse 4 is one of my favourite verses in all of scripture.
