i do, i do.

well i don't mind it now that i'm home from work. but that was the longest night i've had in a long time. i had to fight my lines all night. what went wrong, went wrong. it had its calm moments but the majority of the night was fixing something, something, or something kicking off, weights and tails jumping all over the place, label machine breaking, lines up and down. all the way till 8am, oops 7am.

it was great at 6:20ish when two lines had to go down. one faulted out, and the other i had down to fix a minor problem. two of my lines had temporaries on them that had never been on those lines before. the one guy is actually a really good worker for just starting. he tries his hardest and will even come and ask me how to work something, let's me know about problems with the bottles, or the leak detector or what not, reminds me too because sometimes we busy and forget. a cool kid. i like that...a lot. operators where i work, we rely on our inspectors. we have to. especially on a night like last night.

the past few weeks, my area has been smooth. not much downtime, nothing too big of fixes throughout the night. tonight that just shot that straight to hell with no possibility of redemption. and it just had to happen on "fall back" where everything descides just goes to pieces. how flippin convient!

thankfully the relief guys and me get along great. we always joke with each other, sometimes in the worst ways. like tonight, the one guy sees me bending over to work on something and he yells, "oh yea!" and i yell , "oh yea baby!" inner circle joke LOL while later on he hides one of my tools in the drain on the floor. but nevertheless, jokes, laughs, two pretty girls cleaning up my lines for me at the end of the night cause how bad it got at the end of the night coudn't give me any hope or calm me down.

i explained everything to days like it was a sermon/college presentation but use down to earth colorful expressions of how the lines ran. threw everything on top of my tool box in drawers they don't belong in, emptied out a scrap bin, locked my box up, and headed out like a bat out of hell. didn't let my truck warm up, and ran out so fast.

odd how the past few weeks have been cake, quiet, the norm at work for my end...until tonight well last night or my night. 13 hours of it was pretty darn old and tiring. i'm walking around like i'm an elderly person, and now i'm crashing for a few hours. goodnight yall and this time change, i wave my middle finger in the air too, until i wakeup and be thankful that i had an extra hour of sleep...oh yea, i have to reset my alarm clocks, dang on it! more work on machines, i can't get away from it. if these fail on me, i'm becoming a monk!

I miss the long afternoons. If anything, the clocks should be set ahead one hour, to compensate for the shorter days. I don't mind darkness in the morning, because that time is spent showering and getting ready work. Oh well... it looks like I won't be able to jog around the lake on weekdays. At least not until Spring.
