Hi everyone! Hope you're all feeling well today. I had the weirdest dream this morning and just felt like sharing it. I dreamt that I was crushing on this new guy at my
2nd job and that I hadn't 'told' anyone but somehow everyone found out including the guy without my knowledge. This was revealed in the dream by another coworker while we were having a conversation about something totally random. I remember feeling embarassed and asking how they knew. Then I recall feeling bummed because I was afraid that the guy would avoid me.

IRL, there is a new guy at job#2. He's in his forties, never married and moved here from another state. He's Christian too from what I gather and has an awesome sense of humour. I can't honestly say that I'm 'crushing' on him but I do have a heart for him (compassion....if you will) as he had to spend Christmas/New Year's away from his family this year and was pretty bummed about it.

So, I've thought about the dream off and on today. It kinda freaked me out. lol Makes me wonder what the year has in store.... ;)

Anyone else ever have that dream that just nags at you for hours after you've awakened? Especially if it deals with the opposite sex?

I had a crush on this cute latina girl at work but never could talk to her because she only spoke spanish and I only english. But I had a dream that we were talking like best friends and it was one of those where I woke up feeling sad that it wasn't real. So because of the dream, I started trying to get the courage to talk to her in the few basic spanish words I know, but never could and now she moved away :( Oh well

Aww...sorry to hear that. :(

The dream I had last night/this morning was weird like that. When I woke up I had mixed emotions too. It's kind of weird. The guy at at is originally from a town that is next to another town where I occasionally travel to for my day job. I'm not sure if he'll stay here or not. He's had some reservations about things since he moved here. He commented on his MySpace page about being lonely. It made me sad to read it. I feel the need to reach out to him but I don't want to scare him. I'm wondering if that was kind of what the dream was trying to sort out.

I can totally relate to having dreams that I wished were real. I can't think of any specific examples off the top of my head, but I know I've had some like that. Psychologists say that people dream every night. If that's true, then I must forget about 95% of my dreams. I rarely wake up thinking about what I was dreaming about (unless it was really special to me).

Most of my reoccuring dreams where very neutral in terms of emotions. Most of mine seem to be like that anymore.

I did have a few of those dreams when I was in high school where I was the hero and saved like 200 people or something like that.

Yeah those are always fun.

I think I'm on CF too much because I had a dream about a male forumite (not a naughty dream, just that we were dating) last night.
I have had plenty of dreams about CF too, but nothing for awhile.

Had a dream where I was flying on the thing the Green Goblin did in Spider man, though it was different and in the end I ended up kicking Marilyn Manson off a blimp in the middle of the ocean...it was kind of real, the flying and all...

Had a few odd ones myself but the funniest thing i can remember was telling a friend that if your dreaming and you realize its a dream you can do anything.

He came up to me a few days later and said "-lol- ya **** ya said I could do anything .. I tried to fly off a cliff and just droped".
I've actually had a few dreams where I realized I was dreaming and gained some amount of control. It's certainly not true that you can do *anything* but it's more of a feeling of control and there is an amount of conscious decision that can be exerted, but the amount and level of it varies with each time it happens.

One thing I noticed, though, was that clocks tend to act really weird when dreaming. Supposedly manual ones will work fine, but from first-hand experience digital ones tend to act funny. One time I realized I was dreaming, digital clocks seemed to stop, and when I started to lose that control (i.e. my mind was starting to come out of that sleep state and begin waking up) it started moving again - except that the minute counter was acting like a second counter.

I've heard that too, but there have been a couple times where I realized that I was dreaming and I didn't turn into a God in my dream.

Actually once it was a nightmare and I knew I was dreaming but I was horrified and I was freaking out trying to figure out how to wake up.
