Arguing your case. -------- Or intercession.

Page 128. ‘’The Tide Is Turning’’ by Terry Virgo.

-------. Prayer is arguing your case. Look at the greatest pray-ers in the bible—they are arguing the case. ‘’ Lord if this be so, what about this ?’’ Abraham is a good example. He argues, ‘’Lord, if there are this many righteous will You save the city? Lord, if there are this many…?’’
----------------Moses. He said , ‘’God, if I have found favour, if I have found grace, show me Your glory’’ Arguing from one thing to the next. Do you argue your case before God? We need to pray, ‘’Lord You have promised, ‘’so that we plead the promises as our way to receive mighty answers. He is a covenant keeping God with whom we may dare to argue.’’

…………Nehemiah 1:8 said ‘’ Remember the word which You commanded your servant Moses’’……’’Lord you said it. It’s not our idea.’’

Etc etc

I quote this as an example to me, to put myself on the spot before witnesses I suppose.

That I might not only read this but put it into practise. It’s

never any good just to read an inspired word or The Word &

not to ‘’eat’’it & digest it.

Yesterday someone said that worship is just our response to God. It seems to flow along the same lines. God is an individual that we interact with.

If a friend disagrees with us, we don't quote a canned response to them. If a parent asks us to do something, we don't
respond "not my will but thine." We ask if we can do it later, we tell them that we already had plans, we tell them we already half-did it.... we discuss what's going on.

As a parent, I don't like it when I ask my kids if they want to do something fun, and they say, "I dunno." I want them to have a good time.
