Ever since I was little, about 7, I have been having these sexual thoughts. First, I kept thinking I would stay after school and makeout with my teacher :o
Then as I grew, I thought more sexual thoughts. Sometimes I still get them and I feel that they arent' of me. I don't want to have them, I need advice and prayer. I don't know why I am like this. I've heard that mabye Satan was trying to get me ever since I was young. I don't know what it is, but I wish they'd stop. Please pray for me.

DEAR BELOVED CHILD OF GOD,

i think your honesty regarding the thoughts which are troubling you is a very good sign that our Lord will help you deal with, and eliminate, them. Sharing and confessing openly such things is 90% of the battle, as the evil one, who, of course, is behind such throughts, tries to convince us to hide such things in the darkness rather than to bring them out into the light where they can be healed.
Sooooooooo . . . now that you have successfully completed the hard part , the next step is to turn these thoughts over to our Lord to deal with--AND THEN IGNORE THEM. Thoughts in and of themselves are not sinful if we do not choose to dwell on them when satan inserts them into our thinking. If the thoughts are ignored and not reacted to--such as by getting all upset without ourselves for having them in the first place--they will more and more quickly pass and will eventually, by our Lord's Grace, stop completely. THE KEY IS TO NOT REACT TO THEM EMOTIONALLY. When you allow them to upset you, your emotional reaction--guilt, shame, anger, whatever--just imprints them even stronger into your consciousness and gives them increasing power over your thinking. Ignoring them has the opposite effect, progressively weakening them until they shrivel up and die.
Easier said than done, you say? That is true! It will take a lot of hard work to make it happen because, if my math is correct, these thoughts have been problematic for about 7 years, so they "gots musckles", as the saying goes. BUT IT CAN BE DONE IT YOU WANT DELIVERENCE BADLY ENOUGH! You do your part and God will do His part, and your victory is assured.
How do you ignore these thoughts, you ask  ? By focusing your mind on our Lord Jesus. It is impossible for the mind to think of two things at the same time. Soooooooooooo . . . what has worked well for me and many others is to use the Jesus Prayer--"Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me." Using a Prayer Rope (if you don't have something you can use, you can use Google to find one by typing in "Prayer Rope" and you'll find a bunch of them easily) gives you something to focus your body on while your mind is occupied with the Prayer, making the prayer more effective.
Besides distracting your mind from unwanted thoughts, using the Jesus Prayer also cleanses your mind of all the seeds of darkness which satan has planted there over the years. The Light of our Lord, shining in the darkness through the use of the Prayer, will kill the weeds the evil one has planted and, in their place, plant Spiritual Seeds which will sprout into the Fruits of the Spirit. YOU CAN DO THIS  !
While you are focusing your attention on "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me", you may continue to be aware that negative thoughts are still there, floating just outside your consciousness. DON'T LET THIS BOTHER YOU! Use the image of clouds floating across a blue sky and disappearing over the horizon, and let the thoughts drift away without following them as they leave.
This little note has turned out to be way too long and i think that i have made things sound way too complicated. Forgive me--IT'S EASIER THAN I HAVE MADE IT SOUND, and it is guaranteed to work if you put the effort and prayer into it to make it happen. i will be praying for you as i am sure will many others. MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND PLACE THE evil one AND his thoughts UNDER YOU HEEL!

MAY GOD BLESS, KEEP, AND DELIVER YOU :amen: !
ephraimanesti

P.S. Get back to me sometime and share your victory that i may give suitable praise to our All-Loving God for delivering you from this burden!

I will pray for you, brother. The enemy sure is going for you. There is hope, though.

13No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. (1 Corinthians 10:13)

There are a couple of great truths in this verse. First, other people have experienced what you are going through. Almost all men deal with the temptation to think sexual thoughts. You are not alone, and you are not a weird pervert. You are a normal male dealing with normal sexual temptations.

Another great truth in that verse is this: You don't have to give in to that temptation. God always provides a way out. You don't have to sin when these thoughts suddenly pop into your head. You don't have to let them continue or dwell on them. You can shut them out as soon as they arrive.

It would be an extremely good idea for you to get your hands on a book called "Every Young Man's Battle." My husband is a youth pastor and works with guys your age who are going through the same stuff. Those that read this book said it really helped them. Here's a link if you want to learn more about the book:

God bless.

Hmm... I don't know but if I deal with temptations, I find memorizing memory verses very helpful.

Sin is a choice. Once we know that and remember that, then it is easier to overcome it. Repeating a sin will also make it easier to do it the next time.

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt..." James 1: 2-6.

When temptation comes in, it's important to divert your thoughts to something else. That is when reading the Word or reciting Scriptures become useful.

Hebrews 12:1-12 is wonderful for situations as such.

Happy reading.

It just means you have a natural desire for sex that God put in you. So you just need to make a godly use of it by praying for God to bring the right person into your life at the right time and for you to have only a heart for THAT person after you get married. It is extremely difficult to control sexual passions. But just prepare yourself for what God may have for you when the time is right. If you are above 18, pray and seek for a godly Christian.

The bible says that we are able to lay hands on our selves and rebuke the enemy in the name of Jesus. I can relate, ask the Lord to reveal to you the truth of these thoughts and HE will answer. The Bible also says that curses are past down from generation to genration, so that means that we are entangled with our ancestors sin. That is why we must put a stop to it so that it want travel to your future family generation. I pray in the name of Jesus that He reveal to you the truth about the sinful sex thoughts, I pray that your mind be renewed in the name of Jesus. I pray that whenever these thoughts come into your mind you resist the devil and he will flee. I pray that the Lord fill that spot with holiness and purity in Christ Jesus name Amen. God Bless

Don't forget to avoid temptation in the first place:

"Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
Matthew 26:41

Keep your mind centered on Christ:
"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."
Phillippians 4:8

Then you will be able to make your thoughts obedient to christ.
"Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ"
2 Corinthians 10:5

Finally, mediate on His word constantly:
"Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee."
Psalms 119:9-11

You are a young guy with heaps of hormones. All guys have sexual thoughts. That's normal. We just need to be careful about what we look at and think about. It takes a bit of time and experience to sort out wrong thoughts from just sexual thoughts. Too many Christians seem to believe that any sexual thought is 'lustful'. That's crazy and impossible, and not what God intended when he created us sexual beings.

Perhaps they're related to certain images you were exposed to. Try to keep away from movies, books, anything that encourages these thoughts and seek alternatives. Get yourself close to Jesus.

Because He himself suffered when he was being tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted (Hebrews 2:18)

I know that escaping from a bondage is hard... but as Christians we shouldn't have any bondages. Christ came to set us free. And He has set you free. You'll be free if you allow Him to do in you what He's done for you. Satan can't get you when you're near Him.

There is such a plethra of ungodly TV shows, movies, magazines, etc. that are bombarding people that sexual immorality is just ok.

I know it is more difficult than ever for young people today to resist temptation becasue of so much worldy ungodly influence of the world around them.

I grew up in an era when we watched Red Skelton, Jackie Gleason, My Three Sons,
and the like. Now everything on TV, whether it is commericals or regualr TV shows, or even movies has a strong sexual ovetone to it.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in this.

i might point out as a suggestion that one way you might find helpful to, as you say, "try my best to think on the good things of life that God has made", would be spending a little time each day--in addition to reading the Bible and Prayer--in reading and posting at CF. If you bring your "Health" up from 3 percent to 100 percent on your Profile, you are almost assured of also bringing up your Spiritual Health as well by staying focused on the things of God.

Too many Christians seem to believe that single people should be virtually asexual - no sexual responses or desires. That has more to do with Greek dualism or Eastern ascetic teachings than Christianity.

Here is some of the things that are perfectly normal
Erections
Interest in sexual matters
Interest in the opposite sex
Curioisty about sex in general and an interst in the human body, especially of the opposite sex
Getting good information about sexual development, values and issues facing teenagers, even though you may find this a bit stimulating at times - that's just the way we function as teenagers
Discussing sexual issues with someone older who is not hung up and easily judgemental about sex

Here are some traps
inappropriate content
Indulging in unhelpful sexual material that arouses but conveys no positive message and does not satisfy
Spending too much time indulging in sexual thoughts and imaginations that arouse you
Dating
Some movies, literature and some printed material. You may handle the same material OK later in life, but with at a high hormones stage and no married partner means unneccessary sexual arousal will not be very helpful

Please remember not all sexual thoughts, even those which result in erections, are lustful, impure of have a 'made in hell' stamp on them. The problem is few Christians will give you useful guidelines to sort out which are which.

And, be encouraged. Most Christian teenagers who see themselves as damnably lustful beings discover quite new perspectives as they mature.

That is just.. *incredulous* There are many 100% ppl here who dont really have much of a good spiritual health. Some are downright very "unchristian" despite showing a cross as well. How's posting here "staying focused on the things of God"? Even athiests and ppl of other religions can show 100% health here. It's possible that this online fellowship might help them stay on track and grow, but remember there are ppl who would have "100% health" writen on their tag if there was such one for attending church & youth groups etc regularly but in reality are far from that in their spiritual walk.

Not only that but even with the reputation and blessings... perhaps they're a good way of sending encouragement, like the blessings, and they mostly show how long you've been around etc but on the whole they shouldn't be taken seriously neway.

Also, if everyone who showed 100% health here, or had regular fellowship in other ways such as at church, really did have good spiritual health the world would be much different.

I think this 'health' thing is pretty useless other than simply showing how much you spend time or participate at this site. Only God truly knows what you're spiritual health is like, then you and those who come in contact with you.
