  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Date of authorship of Revelation

I know you are talking to me, but you're not quoting me to make that clear. Why is that? It seems that you just believe what you want to believe regardless of what the evidence shows. The evidence indicates that the church in Ephesus was established around 51 AD, not shortly after people from...

    Date of authorship of Revelation

You're leaving a lot of details out here that don't support your theory. The church in Ephesus was not even founded until 51 AD and that is one of the churches addressed in Revelation. So, it cannot possibly have been written in 41 AD. Also, the type of persecution that is described as...

    Date of authorship of Revelation

Do you think that is talking about the entire book consisting of things that would shortly take place? If so, then what do you make of this verse: Revelation 1:19 Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this. And how do you...

    Date of authorship of Revelation

Nope. It was not written in 41 AD. There is no evidence to support that whatsoever. The conditions of the churches at that time would not match what is described in Revelation 2 and 3. That alone proves your theory wrong. Paul was talking about himself in 2nd Corinthians 12. You can see that...

Are the Jews Israel, or is the church Israel? Or does it depend on the context of the passage?

You didn't make even a tiny effort to address what I said in my post. Proving that talking to you is a complete waste of time.

Are the Jews Israel, or is the church Israel? Or does it depend on the context of the passage?

Yes, it is. Tell me how you interpret the following passage (Romans 9:6-8) which I believe describes the Israel of God as being the children of God who are the children of the promise and are counted as Abraham's seed. Based on what is written about who are the children of God who are also the...

    Questions and Answers

Of course I won't agree because I didn't say that and don't believe that. Is Ephesians 2:8-10 not clear enough for you? Paul very clearly taught that we are saved by grace through faith and NOT by works. Good works are what God prepares for us AFTER we are saved by grace through faith. Is...

Are the Jews Israel, or is the church Israel? Or does it depend on the context of the passage?

You continue to just ignore the fact that scripture teaches that the old covenant law was made obsolete (was no longer in effect) by the blood of Christ, which also established the new covenant, as written in Hebrews 8-10. Nothing you say can change that.

Are the Jews Israel, or is the church Israel? Or does it depend on the context of the passage?

Your repeated false explanations don't matter to me. You're right about that. But, that doesn't mean you can't share your opinions. Others can read your posts, too. If you think your explanation is the truth, then you should share it.

Are the Jews Israel, or is the church Israel? Or does it depend on the context of the passage?

It doesn't matter if he understood it at that time or not! Is the truth based on what Peter understood at that particular time or on what scripture teaches? You waste so much time with these hypotheticals instead of dealing with what scripture actually teaches. Scripture clearly teaches that the...

Are the Jews Israel, or is the church Israel? Or does it depend on the context of the passage?

Are you trying to claim that even Israelite unbelievers are joined to the root? If so, that's clearly false. They were broken off. The body of Christ consists of Israelite and Gentile believers. Only they partake of the root and fatness of the olive tree, with the root representing the Lord...

Are the Jews Israel, or is the church Israel? Or does it depend on the context of the passage?

You know that was His eleven disciples that He was speaking to at the time, right? They had the Holy Spirit. Why would they have understood Him in a way that would contradict the truth taught in scripture that the new covenant was established and the old covenant was made obsolete upon His shed...

Are the Jews Israel, or is the church Israel? Or does it depend on the context of the passage?

Congratulation on making ZERO effort to address anything I said in my post. I can only conclude that you don't have the book of Hebrews in your Bible since you don't seem to want to say anything about what is written in it relating to the old covenant. It makes it clear that the old covenant was...

Are the Jews Israel, or is the church Israel? Or does it depend on the context of the passage?

It's very ironic for you to spew all that incoherent gibberish that contradicts scripture and then try to tell me that I need to let others teach prophecy. You are not even remotely qualified to teach prophecy and you prove that with every post you make. You are wrong about EVERYTHING and that's...

    Questions and Answers

@Douggg doesn't seem to understand that you do believe that works are required for salvation in what you call "the gospel of the kingdom" that you think is only for the Jews. Can you explain your belief in two gospels to him so that he doesn't waste his time trying to defend you just because he...
