  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

To My fellow Catholics. We can learn alot from our separated protestant brethren

Sorry, but Protestants, whilst being non-Roman, are definitely not 'non-catholics'. Furthermore, baptismal regeneration is unscriptural. Water baptism is an integral part of initiation into the body of Christ but water baptism (ex opere operato) does not save one in and of itself. Simonline.

To My fellow Catholics. We can learn alot from our separated protestant brethren

Actually, it makes perfect sense. Whether those people are active members of the Roman Church or not does not alter the fact that the Roman Catholic Church does not have a monopoly on authentic believers and as an authentic Christian (as distinct from a nominal Christian) one should never affirm...

To My fellow Catholics. We can learn alot from our separated protestant brethren

Because one would then be affirming something which is not true. Rome simply does not have a monopoly on authentic believers. Whilst there are authentic belivers maintaining the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Eph.4:3-6) accross the denominational divides it simply is not true that...

What are your views on the Serbia-Kosovo war?

Have you ever read Saga - Israel And The Demise Of The Nations by Ramon Bennett http://www.amazon.com/Saga-Israel-Nations-Ramon-Bennett/dp/9659000030 ? Well worth reading (as are all Bennett's other books) Simonline.

Patrick Stewart speaks out: Defends Christian bakers

Good for Patrick Stewart! Personally, I would like to see someone enlist the support of the NI Equality Commission in defending their right to challenge the imperialist colonialism of authentic Islam (and Islam's policy of dhimmitude toward non-muslims who refuse to convert to Islam but who are...

To My fellow Catholics. We can learn alot from our separated protestant brethren

With respect, I object to your incorrect assertion that Protestants are not Catholic. We may not be Roman Catholic but we are definitely catholic in the true sense of the word (as the Apostles' creed declares). I absolutely refuse to concede to Rome the exclusive use of the word 'catholic'...

    Who is God?

Irelevant! God has told us not that He thought His Creation into existence but that He spoke His Creation into existence (Gen.1-2). Was God lying? Simonline.

To My fellow Catholics. We can learn alot from our separated protestant brethren

The term 'flogging a dead horse' comes to mind. It really doesn't matter whether the unregenerate reprobate is a Roman Catholic or a Protestant Catholic, as long as they remain an unregenerate reprobate then all the encouragement in the world won't make the slightest bit of difference. Only...

Best Argument For or Against God's Existence

Not true. Israel was miraculously created by God approximately 4000 years ago. The United Nations had absolutely nothing to do with the creation or modern day establishment of the state of Israel. It was the League of Nations (the forerunner of the United Nations) which agreed that the Jewish...

Best Argument For or Against God's Existence

What, over 4ooo years?! I don't think so?! Since the Fall people have tended not to last the entire duration of history?! There is absolutely no way that this could have happened without God. History is littered with vast political empires each in their turn have sought to eradicate the Jewish...

Something I can never understand - can anyone help?

Look around you. The problem is not a lack of evidence but the intransigence of your will in refusing to acknowledge that the Creation is evidence of the Creator. I have absolutely no intention whatsoever of wasting my time and effort presenting evidence in support of the Truth simply for you...

Something I can never understand - can anyone help?

Yes. Without God as Creator nothing else can exist. Absolute reality dictates that the Universe is neither self-existent nor self-sustaining and the only reasonable explanation is that the universe was brought into existence by an infinite Personal Creator. If this is not the case then how does...

Something I can never understand - can anyone help?

It means that it is self-existent without any assistance from any other quarter. In reality, only God Himself (being both Eternal (Isa.48:12; Rev.1:8; 21:6; 22:13) and Immutable (Mal.3:6; Jas.1:17)) can possibly be Self-Existant and Self-sustaining. Everything else that exists does so because it...
