Are you tired of your spouse?

If you want to speak scientifically, it has been shown in various studies that the human brain produces a constant stream of endorphines when we are in love. However, this stream of endorphines stops at around 36 months, generally because the body gets used to them. What happens, though, is...

    Hubby won't help

I think communication is the important thing. I agree with what another poster said that sometimes, in such different roles, both parents can feel unappreciatve of what the other does. I also agree that DH should do something fun with Remy every night instead of something like diaper-changing...

How Did Labour Start For You?

Nipple stimulation is said to work... and hey, good way to prepare for bf. I'm sure hubby won't mind helping you out.

How Did Labour Start For You?

I totally agree. The darn nurses told me to stop pushing in the middle of a contraction as they ran to get the doctor. My baby would have been out right then if they hadn't stopped me. And I even tore when she receeded back in and I was forced to push her through "the ring of fire" yet again...

How Did Labour Start For You?

Why breastfeed past 1 year old birthday.

Sounds like it's worth a try... thanks.

Why breastfeed past 1 year old birthday.

Yes, I never supplement, only compliment. I pump in between feedings, and if DH is feeding her, I pump while he's doing that. My milk supply is really great right now, and the pumping very good too. Even the engorgement is diminishing. I just wish my milk didn't come out so darn fast, I feel...

    Ferbering?

YES! This is exactly what I've read about. The way a baby learns to trust is through her parents rapid responses to her needs. I've been getting much better at figuring out what she wants before she resorts to crying. The only thing that makes her cry really bad right now is when I wash her...

    Ferbering?

LOL He's already apologized and said that I would know better than he, it's just that he gets frustrated sometimes because a lot of times when he wants to hold her, she cries for me. She's my baby right now. She'll be daddy's little girl soon enough, so I'm enjoying being able to nurture her...

    Worried about my DS

Yes, he'll be completely fine if he's still nursing. That's really great news.

I haven't started freezing yet. I only refrigerate it when we're going out or if DH is watching her. I plan on starting to freeze at the end of June though and try to stock up quite a few feedings to begin in August. That should give us a nice head start.

Why breastfeed past 1 year old birthday.

Yes, we have a la leche league in my town. I think every mom is different. I have hyperlactation, so I could probably even hand express and be ok. My baby gets a letdown in three sucks lol. So the pump I use has been working great.

    Bottles

The best way to get baby to take a M bottle is to have someone else do it. You should leave the room. If baby can smell or see you he/she will probably not take it because they know their preferred "container" is around. I just find it very convenient for baby to be able to take a bottle so...

What does a typical day look like?

    household rules

As a young high school teacher, I have this issue quite often (kids with behavioral problems and learning disabilities). I think the best way to keep your foster child from breaking the rules is to have a small number. My rule of thumb is never more than 5, but I usually only have 3. My...
