  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Hate Crimes Bill

And if a black man sleeps with your wife, who will determine just why you killed him? The thought police?

    Atheists as a majority

Yes but there's no way to politely say it's too dramatic to go anywhere nice with, whoever wrote it was perhaps just being antagonistic. And I'd lay money an atheist wrote it for the record.

    Atheists as a majority

It was just a reference to Jesus' execution. No state ever kills without a far more plausible pretext. There's no saying atheists would want to kill people, is that the thought of this thread?! Weird. Anyways if any state wanted to kill it wouldn't be as silly as was illustrated. The Holocaust...

    Morally, not technologically. ;)

    Atheists as a majority

No, it wouldn't happen like that. Nobody's that stupid on either side of the fence. They execute people for suspicion of intent to cause civil unrest and the like...

Homeschool regulation: The revenge of the failures

"You remember how one of the Greek Dictators ( they called them 'tyrants' then ) sent an envoy to another Dictator to ask his advice about the principals of government. The second Dictator led the envoy into a field of corn, and there he snicked off with his cane the top of every stalk that rose...

    Meet an environmental activist

I'm not overly concerned with radical environmentalists, the average person is far too lazy to make the sacrifices they ask for anyways, so theirs is a lost cause. Now moderate environmentalists who want to raise taxes and who find ways to make money off of peoples fears, get the kids to go...

Chicago Resident Burns Himself To Death In Iraqi War Protest

How does killing yourself show people anything about 'responsibility'? Why didn't he go off to roll bandages in Iraq or something?

Why the defeat of the South Dakota ban was a tragedy

I think the reference is to the fact that others have to pay for your 'private, personal' medical decisions. Medical care, taxes... At any rate, I wouldn't want to pay for another person's abortion either.

    Brits find bullet!

Apparently police, ordinary people themselves really *gasp*, are exempt from the 'guns are always dangerous' stuff. Exactly what is it about government employees that makes them better than everyone else, I'd love to know someday...

    Sweep!

Matthew 26:6-13 While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of a man known as Simon the Leper, a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table. When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. "Why this waste?" they...

    Any Leftist 'Radicals' Here?

Basically just means man has evil tendencies in him naturally from birth. If man didn't, I could see some of your ideas about communism making sense. But yeah, we'll have to disagree. :)

    Any Leftist 'Radicals' Here?

If you honestly believe that humanity is not intrinsically fallen then we will have to agree to disagree, as no further discourse of politics without this essential point would be of much value. I would also challenge you to look through all history and marvel at how something not intrinsic...
