  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Feminism, the noble lie

Feminism rose up and was able to give women the vote, give them equal (some would argue extra) rights in the workplace, in public, in classrooms, etc. Women enjoy the same (sometimes better) salaries when compared to men in the same or similar fields, and they also have much better grades in...

    Anyone here do Tai Chi

It can lead down bad roads because the study of Tai Chi was developed and fleshed out by pagans. So, many of the concepts and practices from Tai Chi stem from non-Christian spiritualism. Think of it this way: angels certainly exist, right? But would it be a good idea to try to get in contact...

    Anyone here do Tai Chi

Your "chi" is just bioelectrical energy. The same "chi" energy has been found to emanate off of Christian monks when they are deep in prayer. By it's nature, "chi" is not evil. It's simply an Eastern term for something that every human has. But trying to channel or harness your chi can lead down...

Because Scripture never tells us to call down angels and focus on them. Every time an angel shows up in Scripture and the witnesses try to worship it, the angels says "Stop worshipping me. I simply have a message". Then they tell the message and bust outta there. The only time in Scripture...

    Religious Spirits

Why the misdirection, K2K? No one here is asking for a perfect man to preach the gospel. We're just asking that a preacher doesn't lie to us, teach us false things, make false prophecies, live a double life full of deception, and grub our money. That's not too much to ask out of a servant of...

    Religious Spirits

He taught false teachings, he lived a life of lies and deception, and he made prophecies that turned out to be false. Pretty clear-cut to me. I am saddened that you are not "convinced" by cold, hard truth.

I'm with you there, sir. My own apprehension (or "lack of faith" some might ping) comes from the fact that not once in the Bible does a person pray specifically that they might see an angel or receive a visitation from angels. I try to model my behavior after the saints of Scripture, if at all...

    Religious Spirits

Thank you for posting that, Yitzchak. It's interesting how - post-scandal - a lot of the leaders who supported Lakeland are now backpedaling and saying "no no no no, we didn't really support it". C'mon. Show some integrity. It would make this whole situations far easier to swallow if people...

So hoping that I'm turning a corner re doubts on tongues

Awesome testimony about tongues! Praise Jesus! I've found that the people like you who might doubt some aspects tongues and aren't necessarily chasing after the gift are the ones who end up having the most fruitful and genuine experiences with true tongues of the Spirit.

If we're worried about going off-topic, perhaps people shouldn't keep bringing up the topic of "we shouldn't judge others!" when - clearly - no one is judging in the Biblical sense and in fact, we are exercising the exact sort of "judgment" (in truth, it is called "discernment") that Scripture...

tongues, "falling out", and general lack of order

Then why is a "gift of interpretation" expressed in Corinthians, along with the admonition that tongues should only be spoken in a church setting when someone with the gift of interpretation is present? My understanding of "gift of interpretation" is "a spiritual gift that gives insight to the...

    Ive been so deceived...

Your salvation has almost nothing to do with how close you "feel" to God. In fact, in our times of deepest despair and frustration, Christ is often closer than He has ever been.

tongues, "falling out", and general lack of order

But again, we're going in circles here. You say at the top of the page that tongues are spoken (in a different, human language) to communicate with a person who is present there in the room who can also speak that language. at least, that's what I'm hearing from you. But then what is the need...

tongues, "falling out", and general lack of order

What I'm getting at is this: if the purpose of tongues (as a real, spoken language) is to speak in a language that you do not intuitively know, then why would you need an interpreter, because wouldn't the Holy Spirit simply speak in the language of those who need to hear it? If no one in a...
