    Knitters Unite!!

HI Guys. It's nice to hear from so many knitters! I had almost given up on the thread. Currently I'm finishing the Starsky sweater from knitty.com. Look under patterns and scroll all the way down. Coolest cardigan ever, IMO! I also recently finished knitty's Leo sweater for DH (it's in knitty's...

    Calling all Louisianians....

How about "a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there!" It was a good place to grow up in and even though I miss my family, I'm glad I don't live there anymore. It is a pretty place and some of the churches are definitely postcard worthy. I grew up and was married in the First...

I've never had a pet rat, so I can't really say. I don't think they're really much like cats. They definitely have more of a propensity for getting into trouble than cats. They're more energetic than the stereotypical adult cat, for sure.

    Knitters Unite!!

When I'm looking for a free pattern online, I usually google it and see what I get. My parameters are usually "free knit pattern scarf" if I'm looking for a scarf pattern. www.knitty.com always has fun free patterns. Click on "archive" to see their complete listing. Another great one is...

That's pretty! I like the flower detail. What yarn are you using instead of Homespun?

    The Matt Redman thread!

If you liked that, then you should read his book "The Unquenchable Worshipper." It's a very short book, but don't let it's size fool you. It's packed with great thoughts, stories, suggestions, etc. I know what you mean about his status as a relative unknown. It's like when Redman's friend...

    The Matt Redman thread!

Ooops! That WAS his website for a long time. Try www.mattredman.com. That one definitely works (I just checked it!).

    Guys/Teens and Knitting

Thanks! That's really cool that ya'll can spin. I haven't looked into it much, but I recently read an article on knitty that made it sound really fun. Do you have any knitting projects in progress right now? I've finished my Broad Street Mittens and will soon start on some fingerless gloves for...

ROFL!! That reminds me of our old ferrets! They are little bandits, aren't they? Our used to love it when I would drag a blanket across the floor. They'd run like crazy after it, pouncing the blanket and each other. When they wrestled each other, they were more entertaining than WWE...

So, I realize that I'm not a guy or a teen, but I do love to knit. Hope no one minds my thread-crashing!

Essential information for dog or cat ownership

Well, I don't know if this is the place to do it, but I want to give a glowing review to the pet foster agency where we just adopted our family's new addition. I live in Kentucky and there is an adoption agency nearby called LIFE for Pets. The pets stay in foster homes until they are adopted...
