  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Photography Classes

I am really interested in taking a photography class. I love photography, I feel as though I have an "eye" for it, have gotten a lot of compliments on my pictures, etc...but I know there is so much more that I could do if I knew how. I'd really like to turn this into more of a hobby and...

    Day Care for a newborn

I've been reading this thread periodically because I've really enjoyed the discussion going on. It's been enlightening to me to see so many different opinions. This post really caught my attention and I'd like some clarification. Are you saying that you can't be called to a ministry and be a...

    dancing floor question

Oh yeah, I prefer marley floors myself - check price quotes on that, as it would depend on the area you are trying to cover.

    dancing floor question

NEVER dance on cement!!!!!!!!! You are going to kill your feet/legs/body. I'm not trying to be facetious here, even a little bit of dancing on those hard floors can really do a lot of damage. Please, please PLEASE don't continue this!!! You really should always be dancing on some sort of...

-NOT- reconciling, for the kids? Y/N?

Don't force your child to be an adult because you can't put your feelings aside and face your wife. If you want visits where she isn't around, then fine...but the way you speak of your wife (and women, PERIOD) makes me extremely concerned for your daughter. It certainly isn't an example I...

    Dance Sneakers.

Most likely for tryouts it won't make much difference. Personally, I don't like dancing in sneakers...I feel too restricted with my feet. But that's just me personally. :D I also don't like jazz sneakers...I prefer the smaller jazz shoes. But if you do make the team, a pair of jazz sneakers...

a somewhat sily question about dust ruffles!

Put a fold in the middle of it (it should go under the mattress - make the fold in the part that sits under the mattress), use safety pins to hold the fold in place. Just make sure the fold is the right size to make it the right length. I learned this trick from my grandmother, who made a dust...

    crafty ladies help me

I took a few pictures so you can see what everything looks like. The crimper is basically a fancy pair of pliers! I also took a picture of a relay for life bracelet that I made that has the crimp closure. I haven't cut off the excess or fed it through the beads yet (I prefer to feed it...

    crafty ladies help me

I make jewelry as well... You need to get crimping beads!!! It makes life so much easier. I was never able to tie the knots and actually have them stay. Every time I tried, I ended up like the mice in Cinderella with beads rolling all across the floor. :D A crimping bead is basically...

Any Tap Dancer on this forum?

I'm a tap dancer (among other things). I'm also a dance teacher. My suggestion to the poster who wants to start - call some local dance studios and check with prices. I charge $38 per month - but it really varies per studio and depending on what area it's located in. Of course it's going...

    Hair style question...

I have curly hair. My youngest sister does not. If she curled it with a curling iron, it was straight within 15 minutes. Complete opposite ends of the spectrum. We use the same product. Her curls definitely arent' as defined as mine, but she still has a crimped/curly/wavy look. This stuff...
