  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The Only Rules Left: no harm or steal

crystalpc: Children aren't old enough to give consent to anything. Porn is already legal and should remain so. Prostitution should be legal, but solicitation would remain illegal. Polygamy should also be legal, and is hardly moral corrupt by Christian standards anway. Moral decay is...

Kindergartner Censored For Gifts of Religious Candy Canes & Pencils

Actually, Polycarp, I would be interested in why the second is an exception.

The Only Rules Left: no harm or steal

Wait, what's the problem again? Last time I checked, the US was all about personal liberty, except when it infringes on the rights of others. Legislating morality has always been a pointless exercise, anyway.

Remind us:Why did the U.S. Invade and Destabilize Iraq?

No, Blemonds. The solution to a worse situation is not to go back to a bad one.

How many innocent people have died in Iraq?

Xen: Go back and read the rest of the thread. Hussein killed around 300,000, total. Not 2 million. Sorry.

Remind us:Why did the U.S. Invade and Destabilize Iraq?

Not to mention Iraq is still not free: its streets aren't safe, its leaders have been appointed, not elected, and its citizens are still being killed daily by the various opposing factions and the US army.

How many innocent people have died in Iraq?

alonesoldier: Again, personal assertion is worthless. We don't know if you're telling the truth, mistaken, or just making stuff up unless you support your claims. Blemonds: How are the figures still in dispute?

How many innocent people have died in Iraq?

alonesoldier: Personal assertion is nothing. Support is everything. Zlex: Actually, more than 22,000 Iraqis would have died over the last nine months: nearly 10,000 because of Hussein and nearly 12,000 children because of US-led sanctions. Of course, the former number was and would remain...

How many innocent people have died in Iraq?

Rising Tree: Um, kind of. The sole reason for the lower total number of Iraqi deaths is the cessation of sanctions and the flood of humanitarian aid into the country: something that could and should have happened a long time ago. Zlex: I think you misread the article. In any case, it is an...

How many innocent people have died in Iraq?

Um, Zlex. An unsupported op-ed that makes up numbers doesn't cut it. From your article: "Probably 10,000 Iraqis died in the 1990-91 Gulf War, although estimates vary." "The policies of Saddam's regimes have led to an average of perhaps 200,000 Iraqis dying per year..." From reputable...

How many innocent people have died in Iraq?

Blemonds, we covered this before. If I remember correctly, after 5 pages of you avoiding a very simple question: "What resolutions did Iraq violate and when?", you disappeared and never did answer my question. And for all the participants in this happy discussion: UN resolution 678. You can...

How many innocent people have died in Iraq?

edit: Zlex just erased the post I was responding to. He was making inflated claims of Hussein's mass graves. And, apparently, grevious mathematical errors. Zlex: How about using numbers from a reputable source? Say, the US-led occupation authority, which pegs the total at 300,000. (CBS) This...

    Haliburton: The Truth Comes Out

Blemonds: How could anyone who at least claims the capacity for critical thought tout a press release from flailing company as truth? Your excessive bias is destroying your brain.

    So, I lost Adobe... Fantastic.

When you buy software, you're buying a license, not the actual software or even the medium you get it on. Electric bought a license that allows him to install and use Photoshop on a single computer. Where he gets the binaries is basically irrelevent.
