    Skip NWN and Shadows of Unrentide and go straight to Hordes of the Underdark. Hordes of the Underdark is simply amazing. But it's a semi-continuation of NWN and SOR, so you should play them to know the story a bit better (several henchmen from both of them are in HOTU). But it's not compulsary.

    Very cool game. Blizzardy interface, but the whole concept of heavy weapons was pretty cool. I like the way they integrated squad battling into RTS, rather than a RTT like Ground Control.
