How are the cameras awful?

I don't know I just don't like them.
I don't like most FPS cameras, but I know some FPS games can do way better than that(no offense Halo fans )

I think the game plays well. The storyline has definitely become...interesting.

My one complaint is vehicle AI. God have mercy on you when anything, enemy or friend, is driving a vehicle.

It's a great game, in every which way. I don't play online much anymore cause of the cheap-o's using rockets and swords the whole time...but I manage with the Campaign and do play Online if I'm bored, but only with valued friends.

If you don't want them to get those weapons, kill them from afar or get it first! *grin*

JCMLR: That's not much when it comes to saying *why* they're bad, but I suppose it comes down to personal preference.

what killed it for me is that you dont get to finish the game fighting as the chief. the last level played is as the alien officer.

Sniping takes skill. Though I don't like it when people hold onto it the entire game, it's no fun. I get a few kills with a weapon then switch up to keep things interesting. The sword is, in fact, a noob weapon. I know how to use it, and well, but I don't. If I see it, I pick it up, stash it in secondary weapon slot, and keep others from abusing its power.

Halo 2 is a great game. I don't know why people say the campaign sucks. Most of the levels are really good, and even some of my less favourite ones have their moments (Like in Gravemind, with the Hunters, Elites and Brutes duking it out). The storyline, while not as great as we all expected, was more than adequate, and multiplayer simply rocks.

Halo II is off the chain! It is clearly the best game ever! Granted, the campeign mode isn't the best... but over a lan or Live it's great

I voted "okay," mostly because there was nothing in between "okay" and "great."

The single player disappointed me. The multiplayer wasn't much more than the first Halo's other than XBox live, but it's really fun regardless.
