    Thanks for the warm welcome.

I am a graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary with a doctorate in clinical psychology and an M.A. in theology. I am also a licensed psychologist in clinical practice in the Atlanta area and work as a clinical supervisor training Christian counselors for Richmont Graduate University. I am a member and supporter of the Anglican Church in North America.

Religious roots: On my grandfather Atkinson’s side, we are Anglican as far back as we can locate ancestors. When the rest of my ancestors (mostly Swedish and German) came to America, they were either Lutheran or Presbyterian. I think perhaps the blend still has an influence on me.

As a cradle-Episcopalian, I grew up in the 1950s and 60s immersed in the Bible and the 1928 Book of Common Prayer, which I will always love. I read C.S. Lewis’ Mere Christianity and other works in high school, which influenced me greatly. I was an acolyte for a number of years and paid attention in Sunday Sch
