Oh wow, I'm not the only one...

Wow, I forgot about this place. It says I haven't logged in since 2003. LOL I've been to Toronto many times. Love St. Lawrence Market! My best friend and I try to get there when we can. We're a couple of hours south.

    Waiting for snow in Niagara

*sigh* End of November, and it's felt like September for the better part of a week now. By this time last year, we had snow, and it had been here for a while. I'm not asking for a blizzard. Just some fluffy snow to cover the roofs and grass. Am I the only one?

    brownies

Marshmallow cream is just that. It's like soft marshmallow topping in a jar. I believe it's under the brand name "Fluff." Ah yes, click here for some info.... As for brownie recipes, my favourite comes from Alton Brown, the host of the Food TV programme Good Eats. These are rich, dense, fudgy...

    Fathers Love Letter

I don't know if this has been shared before, but my friend, Barry Adams, created this site while he was a pastor at my church. God impacted him with a message of His Father Heart so strongly that it had to be shared. What started as a slide show on video has turned into an international...

    Should Christians BOYCOTT Christmas Now?

I fully intend to teach our kids (when we have them) about the history of Saint Nicholas, and how he became what is now Santa. I will also give them presents, and they will get presents from family marked "From Santa." And none of it will be evil. Oh, and we'll have a Christmas tree (a fake...

    Should Christians BOYCOTT Christmas Now?

I'm not disputing that. I'm just tired of hearing it as an excuse to berate Christians who celebrate Christmas.

Horrible throat pain... possible bad advice from Dr???

If you have access to Tea Tree oil, you can add a few drops to some warm water and gargle with it. Tea Tree is a powerful antiseptic/antifungal oil. It tastes horrible, and should not be swallowed, but it works, and it can help to numb the pain, as it's a mild anelgesic.

    Natural Metabolism Boosters

Ginger and cayenne pepper added to your meals will boost your metobolism. Both heat the body and rev it up. You can make a tea of boiling water poured over sliced ginger and a sprinkle of cayenne. Add a half teaspoon of honey for sweeteness if you need to.

    Cookie section!!!

So a cube is a rectangular stick? Okay. Butter here (southern Ontario) comes in a 2 cup block, rather than in 4 individual sticks. Thanks for clearing that up.

    A Thought -True or False?

How can we have faith in God and live in complete disobedience? If we believe in Him and in His love and plan for our lives, how do we turn our backs on that and say that we still believe? Faith without works is dead. Works are the external display of the internal relationship with God.

    Is this a sin??

I wonder if her thinking doesn't have to do with the command for us to live by the laws set by our governments? If so, she could still be off base if your particular government acknowledges your relationship as commonlaw. If you are legally a commonlaw couple in the governments eyes, then she...

    Should Christians BOYCOTT Christmas Now?

I've heard this arguement before. Christmas is nothing but a dressed up pagan holiday and Christmas trees are from the devil himself. I don't buy it. Yes, it's become commercial, but I'm not going to let the world spoil a perfectly lovely holiday for me. :)
