  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Liz Cheney is also a Repub. Lisa Murkowski is a Repub... john bolton... mr. Vinneman... need i continue?

oh yeah
btw

Am I being targeted with terms like "... a Poe ...belligerently ignorant" because I disagreed with your anti-Trump livelihood??

People being told they can't have differing views may be why so many have left the party to begin with.

It's my impression that the six month extension is to fix technical defects. The problem of the only attorney to sign the indictment being illegally appointed is not a technical problem.

A different problem is the use of privileged information used to inform the indictment. The prosecutor's office used information gained from Comey's lawyer (obtained in a different case) against him. I don't know if using tainted evidence counts as a technical problem.
It's more than just fixing technical defects. The statute says:

Whenever an indictment or information charging a felony is dismissed for any reason after the period prescribed by the applicable statute of limitations has expired, a new indictment may be returned in the appropriate jurisdiction within six calendar months of the date of the dismissal of the indictment or information, or, in the event of an appeal, within 60 days of the date the dismissal of the indictment or information becomes final, or, if no regular grand jury is in session in the appropriate jurisdiction when the indictment or information is dismissed, within six calendar months of the date when the next regular grand jury is convened, which new indictment shall not be barred by any statute of limitations. This section does not permit the filing of a new indictment or information where the reason for the dismissal was the failure to file the indictment or information within the period prescribed by the applicable statute of limitations, or some other reason that would bar a new prosecution.

"For any reason" is not limited to technical defects; it means, as it says, for any reason.

It does, however, offer an exception at the end, where it says "This section does not permit the filing of a new indictment or information where the reason for the dismissal was the failure to file the indictment or information within the period prescribed by the applicable statute of limitations, or some other reason that would bar a new prosecution." There are things that would "bar a new prosecution", such as if it's dismissed with prejudice (which means it can't be brought again), but the case wasn't dismissed with prejudice. The statute's broad language ("any reason") shows that it applies to a lot more than just what one could deem "technical problems."

A group known to be populated by people who readily buy into conspiracies interprets this as "lawfare", the exact same way they do with each and every ruling that does not go in the way they would
Should You likely edit your post? Or, is Denigrating an entire group like claiming "people who readily buy into conspiracies interprets this as "lawfare", the exact same way they do with each and every ruling that does not go in the way they would like"...within the rules here?

Yes, I agree. Especially when it came to how millions of Latino men and especially Black men were told that they should not have differing views/supporting Trump, and should be voting for Kamala;

uh-oh.
You might be in big trouble, for proving that some people are wrong about Trump's ability to refile this case.

You presume intimacy .
I have no control over your hallucinations or incantations.

Do you think generalities do not include specifics?
Do you think it's okay to be deceitful toward people's remarks? It's not. And thats No matter if many people with power do support such a flagrancy, it's still an Evil deed to falsely accuse humans of any Acts. I'm pretty sure I deemed only a type of politics "Evil and satanic" and I never called any humans evil and satanic.

I'm starting to feel like Trump at the DNC. LOL

I'm certain this is a witty retort, but I'm afraid I don't understand it.
Well then, just pretend like I meant whatever you feel like claiming that I meant... it seems to be a popular way to treat my remarks here ;)
