CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Its strange how the very things that people called Trump or accused him of doing were being done by his accusers. This is usually the case. Funny how we see ourselves in others.
When someone is fixated on someone elses behaviour its usually because they are seeing that behaviour in themselves. The old saying 'don't throw stones if you live in a glass house'. Or 'take the massive log out of your own eye before you try to remove the speck in your brothers eye'.

Its not just about Trump or any side.I don't want to get into who is the worst or which side does what.
Its a general observation of public and political life. It seems people are so busy judging and pointing out other peoples wrongs that they forget that they are sinners as well. Usually one of the signs which Christ pointed out in the Pharisees was judging others. Making a noise about how wrong others were.
This was a sign that the person doing the judging was actually doing so to hide their own corrupted heart. This is a psychological principle that usually when people are fixating on particular wrong behaviour its because they recognise it from their own mindset. When they are disturbed to the point where they are affected. The problem is usually in the person who is making the issue out of it.

I'm sorry, but you're the one who brought that up. If you can show what these cases/things are, sure, go ahead, they should be. But if you can't, then it'll just end up being an attempt to handwave one person's misdoings away by accusing others. It only works and is true, if that double standard actually applies. Otherwise those are just accurate accusations.
