Can Truth Be Known? How

Of course Truth can be known. Christ promised that the Paraclete will be with His Church forever.


John 14:16 And I will ask the Father: and he shall give you another Paraclete, that he may abide with you for ever:
14:17 The spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, nor knoweth him. But you shall know him; because he shall abide with you and shall be in you.

So, do you agree that those seeking truth can find it through Jesus' followers whom he guides by holy spirit?

How do these ones hear, listen, and follow?
Romans 10:13-15

13 For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.​

14 How can people have faith in the Lord and ask him to save them, if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear, unless someone tells them?​

15 And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.​

Would you agree or disagree that it is by

• listening to those Jesus sends to preach the good news;
• examining the scriptures to see if these things are so; Acts 17:11
• accepting and applying what they are taught... if it aligns with the scriptures Acts 17:12

Can we not therefore use the scriptures to come to know truth... with the help of those Jesus sends?

The scriptures repeatedly say that listening to Jesus involves listening to his followers. Mark 6:11; 1 John 4:6
We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. That is how we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of deception.

The "Truth," Capital T, is quite secure and not in need of the proof of anyone.

He Is.

And the surprise is we all experience Him. Most just don't know.

Have you ever loved anyone, anything? Yes, let's make it simpler. Have you ever even just loved your self?

IF you've ever had that "warm" feeling in your own heart of love, then you have "experienced" God Himself, even in some small way.

This is exactly what John the Apostle pointed to in 1 John 4:7

7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

Let's make it easy for others to see this simple fact, and just assume them in, OK?

Because they do know God. They just don't know it's God. But it is, whether the like it or not. It is because He Is

There really is no use trying to wrestle people to the ground and make them recite the 4 stepper prayer. They already know God. Just TAG them in that "experience" that it IS Jesus in their hearts, that God Is Love, and move on with life, and let Jesus do the work.

It wasn't the components of ark material that David valued, but the power of God that killed Uzzah

2 Sam 6
6 And when they came to Nachon's threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.
7 And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.

The Law it seems is indeed a KILLER. Maybe not in such dramatic fashions as Uzzah, but the shadow of that event definitely STUCK here:

9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died

POWER against Uzzah killed him. Just trying to "help out" the law

The Law needs no help of man. It proved all of us, sinners, long long ago. In the Garden iirc, on day one

I never said it was the components of the ark material that David valued, not sure where you got that from.

You are misunderstanding the Scriptures. It wasn't the Law that killed Uzzah, it was his own disobedience that killed him, doing something that God told them not to. The Law shows us our sins, so we do not depend on what we feel is right our wrong, but reply on God's righteousness.

What is the ark of God- the ark of the Covenant Num10:33 the ark of the Testimony Exo25:22 the ark of the Lord 1 Sam4:4? What is inside the ark? - God's Holy Law Exo25:16 Exo40:20 God's Law is under His mercy seat (attornment cover) Exo25:21exactly where God placed them and in heaven Rev15:5 Rev11:19 Heb8:1-5. The Law is not God and never once did I say the Law is in isolation from God or His words, these appear to be your own words, not mine, the Law is a reflection of His righteous and perfect character though Psa19:7 Rom7:12 Psa119:151 Psa119:172. The Law is what God gave and He placed it close to Him for a reason, under His mercy seat and tells us in His Law who He shows mercy to Exo20:6.

Never once did I say the Law is in isolation from God or His words, they ARE His written and spoken words- His own Testimony Exo31:18 You made up an argument and act like the person you are accusing said these things when they didn't, so you can accuse. This is not something I want anything to do with, but I will say some prayers.
