So stop saying the Bible teaches that the earth is flat.
Well stop saying that the earth moves when it doesn't.

So stop saying the Bible teaches that the earth is flat.
So the sun didn't actually stop.
So make up your mind what you are arguing. You've just undermined your whole argument.Correct, just like what you said about Joshua, that the sun only appeared to stop for him.
It does.
"Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth."
Psalm18:7 KJV
Now you're trying to put that on me. You're the one telling us Joshua 10:12-14 needs to be taken literally. You're the one who claimed the sun literally stopped but that the sun doesn't literally go down. Not according to you, you said the sun just appeared to stop to Joshua.
So make up your mind what you are arguing. You've just undermined your whole argument.
That's the earth moving. You said it doesn't move, yet the Bible clearly says it does.
You're arguing with Scripture.
Well I'll tell you something, the earth doesn't go round in circles as often as this argument does.Well stop saying that the earth moves when it doesn't.
Please educate me here. The reaction score seems very important to a certain person. Why? What good is it? I can see that it might be an indicator for the people running the forum, but I can’t see how it benefits the user.Well I'll tell you something, the earth doesn't go round in circles as often as this argument does.
What's the matter, aren't we doing enough to bump up your score?
Yes.Please educate me here. The reaction score seems very important to a certain person.
I have no idea. Why? What good is it?
I really didn’t mean to pick on Applesky, but I did see that post on another thread. It made me wonder what it was about. I suppose that too many negative reactions might help somebody to change their style. I just thought that a person might get a free book or something. Otherwise, I see no motivation.Yes.
That was a reference to another thread where Apple Sky thanked another person for "really bumping her score up."
I have no idea.
@Apple Sky has certain health issues and, I gather, doesn't get out much. (Not even to church.) It might make her feel more important/that she has achieved something - I don't know.
Certainly there has to be some reason she posts threads/asks questions on the same topic again and again - even though she gets the same answers, and arguments, each time.
If it's not due to bad memory, I can see no other reason.
Sorry, I wasn't implying that you were picking on her, and I'm not trying to either.I really didn’t mean to pick on Applesky, but I did see that post on another thread. Stop trying to argue with God’s Word.
You're quoting - and taking literally - the exact words of one translation of Scripture.I'm only quoting what Scripture says.
Thanks, I hope you are better. It all seems reasonable. My health is not terrible, but the heart gives me trouble along with normal aging. Getting likes does make one feel better. I live in a wonderful place on a side of a mountain overlooking a river valley, but the weather often keeps me indoors and wanting to have a little interaction. Today, for example, it is snowing very heavily.Sorry, I wasn't implying that you were picking on her, and I'm not trying to either.
If her motive is as suggested I can kind of understand it.
I joined this forum because I was ill with M.E and couldn't get to church or even out much. At a time when much had been taken from me, having people agree with, and 'like' my posts did feel like something of an achievement. Like I still had a voice and interesting/helpful things to say - pathetic, I know, but it was a difficult time.
I don't know, but it could be the same for Apple Sky.
