5 fetuses found at home of DC anti-abortion activist Lauren Handy | wusa9.com
DC Police discovered five fetuses at the home of an anti-abortion activist in Capitol Hill on Wednesday, the department has confirmed to WUSA9....
Lauren Handy and others are standing trial for blocking access to an abortion clinic in DC. Jury selection has been difficult. Not just because abortion is a hot-button issue, but because people in DC remember the woman who had 5 fetuses in her home (although that is not part of this case).
What a reductionist statement. Perhaps you missed this part of the post--see especially the last sentence in bold:
Or this:
She wasn't keeping them in coolers "for the lulz" and they weren't going to stay there either. And do you think a dumpster is a more respectful place for the slain than a cooler?
All 5 were convicted.
Federal prosecutors allege the defendants — Handy, of Alexandria, Va.; John Hinshaw, of Levittown, N.Y.; Heather Idoni, of Linden, Mich.; William Goodman, of New York; and Herb Geraghty, of Pittsburgh — violated federal law when they used chains, bike locks and ropes to blockade the Washington Surgi-Clinic in October 2020.
Based on the convictions, she ordered Handy and the other co-defendants jailed until sentencing later this year. The defendants face up to 11 years in prison and a fine of up to $350,000.
No surprise, Trump doesn't believe in law and order. When it comes to making his supporters happy. Trump has pardon worse people.Old news, but Trump pardoned all these people at the beginning of his term.
Trump pardons anti-abortion activists who blockaded clinic entrances
Lauren Handy was sentenced to nearly five years in prison for leading the blockade by directing blockaders to link themselves together with locks and chains to block the clinic’s doors.
The detail about the pardon showed up in another story in Cosmopolitan involving Handy and the PAAU that can't be shared, due to language.
Sigh. I have no words.Old news, but Trump pardoned all these people at the beginning of his term.
