The closer to death the better the high and they purposely lace their drugs with lethal amounts. I believe Hazelpoli posted a legal professor going over the legal.arguments for this, including legal precedence. In the end, this may end up in the Supreme Court and they will look at all the legal arguments for, or against and determine if these actions are Constitutional or not. I would suggest finding that video. It was informative.

That's ridiculous. Smugglers don't sell direct to consumers. The dealers don't want their customers to die because dead people are notoriously non-customers, but it's probable that they don't really know the actual composition of the drugs - it's not like they do quality assurance testing. This is why heavy regulation would ease the dangers of addiction - think of methadone clinics.

Why dont we just legalize all drugs. Then leave yge junkies alone. We could have major pushes to warn everyone like we do with cigarettes. Then the junkies are on their own if they choose to do drugs. We could prohibit them from doing drugs in public due to the danger to the public, but other than that, treat it no different than cigarettes.
