I was expecting to see some truly awful stuff given they had the opportunity to cherry pick the worst clips they could find. Unhinged is a bit of a dramatic take on that video.

Normal actions to come across at a protest. I was expecting to see clips of violence and rioting but instead it was some angry opinions.

I wasn't meaning armed at the Capitol building but they did have guns at the hotel and vehicle is what is alleged.

When dealing with legal matters, specificity is of the utmost importance. So first of all, no vehicle was involved in the case against the Oath Keepers. I suspect you're thinking of another charged individual, 72 year old Lonnie Coffman who was not involved with Oath Keepers, and who never set foot on capitol grounds.

I could be wrong, but I personally do not believe the Oath Keepers had guns at the hotel, for reasons I stated previously in this thread. I'm scientific, and there is no scientific evidence they had guns. If they had had guns, we would have been bombarded with images of the guns, yet none exist. The evidence the feds had was hotel surveillance footage of a couple of members holding luggage, and the feds claimed the luggage contained guns. This was the evidence the feds told them they planned to use against them at trial. But they would face trial in a city where the jury would be drawn from a population of their "peers", of whom over 92% already hated them before any prosecutor made any opening statement. So they knew they had a less than 8% chance of prevailing at trial. Are you a gambler? Would you have risked your life on those odds, or would you take a plea and say "yeah, we had guns"?

Think this through. According to ChatGPT, there were over 3,000 armed law enforcement officers in, on and around the Capitol grounds that day. This includes Capitol police, D.C. city police, Secret Service and several other agencies. Do you honestly think that 16 middle-aged and elderly men and women thought they could run up on them and overthrow the government of the United States of America?

It doesn't matter if they did have guns. What is the most well-defended air space and land space on planet Earth? It's the space over and around Washington, D.C. The Oath Keepers could have had tanks, fighter/bomber jets, an aircraft carrier. It wouldn't matter. They'd have been annihilated before they got a mile from their hotel room in Virginia. The Keepers would have had to have the combined IQ of a doorknob.

P.S. The member here you seem to be defending just had his own thread in this forum closed, because he posted fake news and got called on it by numerous other members, just as he has posted falsely in this thread. That's why I will be again ignoring his posts.

You do realise that Trump and the Republicans were in power at the time? Who were they going to overthrow? His plan was to overturn the election. And there is a galactic amount of evidence that he tried to do that and it was also the plan of some of the morons who stormed the Capital.

If Pence had been a rusted on MAGA supporter instead of an honourable man holding to his promise to uphold the constitution then you'd have seen blood on the streets.
