  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

No. There are airlines now that can travel across Antartica.

From your article Wikipedia;

Few airlines fly between cities having a great circle route over Antarctica. Hypothetically, flights between South Africa and New Zealand, or between either Western Australia or Western Southeast Asia and southern South America, would overfly Antarctica, but no airline currently operates such flights.

The southernmost flight route with plausible airports would be between Buenos Aires and Perth.[40] With a 175° (S) heading, the route's great circle exceeds 85° S and would be within 500 kilometres (310 mi) of the South Pole. Currently, no commercial airline operates this 12,600-kilometre (7,800 mi; 6,800 nmi) route. However, in February 2018, it was stated that Norwegian Air Argentina is considering this "less than 15 hours" trans-polar flight between South America and Southeast Asia, with a stop-over in Perth en route to Singapore.[41] They will not fly over the South Pole, but around Antarctica taking advantage of the strong winds which circle that continent in an easterly direction. Hence, the "westbound" flight from Buenos Aires would actually travel south-east south of Cape Town, over the southern Indian Ocean and on to Perth, while the true "eastbound" flight would also head south-east south of Tasmania and New Zealand, over the South Pacific and on to South America. If this route becomes operational, a Buenos Aires – Singapore return flight would possibly be the fastest circumnavigation available with commercial airliners, although Perth – Buenos Aires return would be faster but without passing the Equator

You post this yet fail to understand that all these direct flights between cities in the Southern Hemisphere, regardless of whether they fly over Antarctica, are not possible on your flat pizza earth, and yet they fly on a regular basis. You keep posting proof of the globe.

Show me flights that fly over Antarctica .

People have visited a small section of Antarctica, mostly the outer islands. People/Tourists are not allowed to go any further in, or get any further in b/c of the ice walls.

No, there are research stations further inland too, including the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station that is located literally right on top of the South Pole. There are many YouTube videos showing the facilities, like these: Search on YouTube.

Here's the physical south pole. It must be polished regularly all year around. :)

On top of the South pole o_O where exactly is this location ?

The only thing I got from your Wikipedia article was this;

Dome (1975–2010)

For Operation Deep Freeze 73, U.S. Navy Seabees built the six-storey high Geodesic Dome. Shown here in 1973 when the snow level was lower; the base of the dome was at ground level.
The station was moved in 1975 to the newly constructed Buckminster Fuller geodesic dome 160 feet (50 m) wide by 52 feet (16 m) high, with 46 by 79 feet (14 m × 24 m) steel archways.

Nice to see they are copying God :)

Tourism to Antarctica is strictly controlled but quite a few do go there. Here's the current statistics taken from the International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators web site.

The Deep Field number are visitors that actually go to the South Pole. Anyone interested can find lots of statistics here.

I was a little hyperbolic, the south pole is maybe 100 meters away from the station. Here it is in relation to the dome:

I guess you decided to ignore the part of the article that refutes your theory. There are routes between Sydney and South America that fly over Antarctica.

Qantas QFA27 and QFA28 and LATAM LA809 and LA810 fly nonstop between Sydney and Santiago de Chile, the most southerly polar route. Depending on winds, this flight may reach 70° south latitude. From July 2012[31] until 2014, Aerolíneas Argentinas flew nonstop between Sydney and Buenos Aires.[32][better source needed] Previously, Qantas also operated QFA17 and QFA18 between Sydney and Buenos Aires. Nowadays, LATAM operates LAN804 and LAN805 between Melbourne, Australia, and Santiago, Chile, and Air New Zealand, until 2020, operated ANZ30 and ANZ31 between Auckland and Buenos Aires all with similarly south-running routes.

Here is where Antartica is on Earth (yes it’s round) and you see Australia and South America and how the route would take it past Antartica.

What strikes me about this image is some sort of chimney in the background polluting the atmosphere.
That’s a cloud. Expand the image so you can see it clearly.

I need to see them for real & their flights paths over Antarctica, I don't know the soft ware you use to get all the flight paths, maybe you could help.

Well yes, it is pretty cold down there... They use diesel generators that produce electricity as well as heating.

The sky is cloudless so no it's not, it's smoke.
Again, open the picture and you can see that there is no smokestack. It’s a low cloud.

I didn't say they did, but the flight paths they follow approach Antarctica which would exceed their range on your flat pizza earth, yet the distance they actually fly perfectly corresponds to the globe.
The direct flights between cities in the Southern Hemisphere are not possible on your imaginary flat earth, so how do you explain multiple such flights every week?

These are the great circle routes between these cities, the shortest route possible for each.
1000033380.jpg

As you can see, if they were to fly over Antarctica it would no longer be the shortest route, requiring move fuel and longer flight times than necessary. Airlines are in the business of making profit, which means taking the most efficient route within reason. Sometimes they have to divert around war zones so they don't get shot down.
A direct flight between Auckland and Johannesburg would come closest to passing over the Antarctic continent, but again would be taking a longer route if it were to do so.
