I posted a video from a surveyor using a theodolite. He is on the ground at an elevation of 78 feet with the instrument set at 90° to the perpendicular. Looking through the telescopic view, eye level is clearly above the horizon. Distant objects which are higher than the point he is viewing from are all below his eye level because of the curvature of the earth. If the earth was flat then the distant objects would be above eye level. Ergo, the earth is not flat.

It doesn't matter how high you go the horizon will always be at eye level. This has been proved.

That is not the correct way this should be understood.

The horizon will not always remain at eye level. The higher a person goes up the further they will see, so actually the line of sight. If one could see that far, would extend beyond the horizon, but a persons vision is limited on a plain.

The way it should be understood is that on a flat plain, the horizon at the edges will not fall or bend away.

I would quit listing to this dean Odel person. If he believes a born again child of God can become an un-born again child and cross back over from life back to death. he has some major theological problems.

You'll have to try harder than this to convince me that the earth is curved.

What do you mean that Dean can lose it ? I've never seen any evidence of this except when he was on some debate show & that was only once.

But this book is not what you think.

Pastor Dean Odle originally published Grace Abuse in 1998 after much study and prayer on the subject of "eternal security" which is also know as "once saved, always saved no matter how you live." This book examines the apparent contradictions created by the errors of Calvinism.

I have never read the book, but he plainly states in the video, at the start, he thinks unconditional security is false. So that belief is believing that a born again child of God can lose their eternal life because of some sins they do.

I do not need to read the book, what he stated at the start of the video is all i need to know about this person.

Eternal life security is a Free Grace position, Grace Evangelical Society Their only fault is they as a whole are not flat earth believers, but their Soteriology teachings are spot on and as most of their theology is.
